can you use an HP recovery dvd on this?

I jump into this deal and ordered one. When I look back into the deal. It said this is refurbished and I don't want it. But I can not see any place I can cancel my order. When I called them, they said you can not cancel it as it has been on its way out. That's nonsense. It's only 5 to 10 mins after I submitted the order. On their website, there is even no cancel button. What's a gerk. Stay away from them. This is a website full of trap. Beware! Consider you have been warned.

I got one of these debranded PCs from Geeks a few weeks ago.

I liked the "no os" option because I wanted to load XP instead of getting Vista.

Finding the XP drivers was a bit challenging, but I did eventually find every one I needed, after finding accurate specs for the hardware I was trying to find the drivers for.

It's an astounding deal for a screaming fast machine. I don't regret it for a second, but I wouldn't suggest it unless you are just a bit geeky.

Edit: I added 2 gigs of memory and a video card.

To speak to their speed of shipping, I ordered at 2:30pm and they sent me shipment confirmation @ 6:06pm.

where does it say refurbished?

And to those wondering about it saying "refurbished", there is a good chance that these werent actually used by customers. When a machine is "debranded", all of the official manufacturer stickers and serial numbers must be removed. The hard drives also had to be wiped, so you won't be getting a computer in the official retail box. These had to be opened and tinkered with to remove the HP tags and wipe the hard drives clean. They were powered on and off at least once, so technically they can't be sold as "new" units. Even if they had very limited usage, they are still called refurbs.
