EDIT:

Even if the drive is OEM, Seagate still provides a 5 year warranty for it.

.

according to seagate, OEM is 3 years LINK

however, it does say 5 years on the Dell site, so to be safe, i would make a screen shot of the page stating the warranty and save it, just in case. Dell will have to cover it if seagate doesn't.

just out of curiousity, what make you think that this is an OEM?

The link refers to OEM customers. I believe the 3 warranty terms are for those customer's designated as OEM customers (like system builders), not that it applies to OEM drives purchsed by end users. I could be wrong, but I thought there was an FAQ somewhere on Seagate's site that explained that OEM and retail drives were both under a 5 year warranty.

Nice price drop. In for five. Hopefully the warranty is through Seagate. I will be annoyed if it is through Dell.

Recieved my five HDs. Well packed, they were inside a cardboard box that had five spots for HDs, surrounded by at least 1" of foam on each side. I will order HDs from Dell again.

I just checked the warranty for one of the serials of the drives I recieved at the Seagate site. Note that the drive itself has the "OEM" label though.
In Warranty
Expiration 27-Aug-2013

Sounds good to me!

Edit: Price is now up to $71.99.
