The title says it all, 30% OFF in all J. Crew retail & factory outlet stores (No catalog or .com orders) NOW thru Sunday (5/19)ONLY.

CLICK HERE for the printable coupon.

Enjoy!

IMPORTANT:
1. Sale/Clearance Merchandise IS INCLUDED!!!!!
I just got back from the store and I bought 3 pairs of pants that were on sale & I got the 30% discount on top of the sale prices (I scored a really good deal).

2. DO NOT FILL IN THE STORE NUMBER!!!!! As the pretty little words beneath that line say QUITE clearly, it is to be filled in by the J. Crew associate at the store.

3. Any price in a RETAIL STORE (and yes, an outlet store is a retail store) is a RETAIL PRICE.

Please pay close attention to what is written on the coupon & in this thread, so you do not ask the same stupid question that someone else already did!

not so good. it can only apply to "retail price".

It says "This discount can only be applied to current retail prices."

What do you expect??? That they sell you stuff at their current wholesale prices -30%, or maybe their 1994 retail prices -30%???

<< not so good. it can only apply to "retail price". >>

I could be wrong but I think he meant that it's only good on full-priced items.

However, in ALL past 30% off sales, the 30% off always applied to sale prices. It even worked for items that had a 20% off additional on it.
E.g.
Jacket = $99.99 (All jackets 20% off)
20% Off -$20.00
-----------------
$79.99
30% Off -$24.00
-----------------
Final Cost $55.99

If it were not valid on sale merchandise, it would say something along the lines of "Not valid on sale & clearance merchandise." On all of their discount and/or free shipping code for their catalog/.com business, it says something about not being valid for sale & clearance (even though you can sometimes get away with it).

FYI---A sale price is a retail price!

From the dictionary.com website:

re·tail

NOUN: The sale of goods or commodities in small quantities directly to consumers.

ADJECTIVE: Of, relating to, or engaged in the sale of goods or commodities at retail.

ADVERB: 1. In retail quantities.
2. at a retailer's price.

Class dismissed.

Wow, thanks for reassuring about the prices coreynyc.

At first I was confused... If they allowed us to use the coupon at their Factory stores (Factory stores sell clothes/accessories at sale priced), then why the heck did they put the fine print

<< "This discount can only be applied to current retail prices." >>

??? I know for the fact; factory/outlet stores doesn't sell stuff at retail price.

Thanks again for clearing it up!

muhluni--

Good point about outlet pricing, obviously everything there is not at "retail" prices. I can't believe that it didn't occur to me as well.

Jesus man...did you even read/understand his dictionary definition????
The whole point is that "retail price" means whantever the store is selling it for. So, a factory store's price is its "retail price". If you, muhlani, go to the factory store and see a price, that is the "current retail price" at that store.
You cannot, however, go to the store and say,"I saw this cheaper yesterday, hook me up with that price instead."

This coupon works on all items in the store. I used a similar coupon before Christmas and it worked like a charm.

Dang! I spent hundreds but saved a bunch too.

Down at the last line of this coupon - are you supposed to put in a store number?

-Ryan

Hey, the questions about the retail prices are totally legitimate questions. Yes, this discount always seems to be accepted on everything. But I don't think anyone knows what the intention is. I am pretty sure some people reported in the past (rarely) that their store wouldn't let them buy sale items.

But in summary: it almost always always works for anything.

Thanks Coreynyc!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0><img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Ryan--

The sales clerk will fill in the store number.

Oh - so it's the store number of the store you use it at - Thanks!

My confusion was in that I thought maybe it was the store number that the employee works at. I guess if they really cared about that they'd want the Employee Number instead of their store number.

Thanks.
-ryan

Thanks for the coupon, I'll use this!

Good deal. Anyone can verify if sale items will be on display as well?

Sale items aren't on display to the general public, but here's how to find the display of sale items:

1. When you get to your local J. Crew store, go to the back door.
2. Knock 7X if you want mens merchandise, 8X for womens.
3. Ask for Jimmy (every J. Crew has a Jimmy because the J stands for Jimmy).
4. Jimmy will show you the super-secret chinos that are on sale.
5. Don't tell anyone else about this.

For the 1000th time, SALE ITEMS ARE INCLUDED!!!

If J.Crew allowed us to use the coupon at their Factory stores, then YES you can use it toward SALE/CLEARANCE merchandise too in their retail stores.

Coreynyc, is this good at Banana Republic?

Loggia--

It's only good on retail prices at Banana Republic if you like bananas & if you are a registered Republican.

the bottom of the coupon asked to fill out store #, any suggestion on what to fill out?

Thanks for the coupon! I need some shirts for summer. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

<< the bottom of the coupon asked to fill out store #, any suggestion on what to fill out? >>

For the last time... This section is for the employee to fill out. All you have to fill out is your name, address, etc. :roll eyes:

maybe ill go tomorrow thanks for the heads up

Coreynyc, I went to J.Crew and tried to use the coupon and they said "This is not good until the 15th."

What the heck does that mean?!

<< TextCoreynyc, I went to J.Crew and tried to use the coupon and they said "This is not good until the 15th."

If you looked at the details on the flyer or even the title of this thread you would see that the sale is good from 5/15-5/19.

Also, Banana Republic and JCrew are two completely different companies.

Joking, I was. My humor, you got not.

<< Joking, I was. My humor, you got not >>

Haha, very funny. You should go on Saturday Night live now since they haven't been funny for 5 years either.

?

Loggia & Mulhuni--

We're not exactly dealing with the brightest crayons in the box here, are we?

Between this place & the dolts that I sell to on eBay who can't read and/or follow instructions, it makes me wonder how these people can figure out how to operate a computer.

I wish someone could post a hot deal for a remedial reading comprehension course <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

I wish people would read each reply carefully before posting the same question. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif"border=0>

On a happy note; Shopping start tomorrow! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

Thanks coreynyc....
No stupid questions here....

Oh, wai.............

SPECIAL REPORT!

I bought 3 pairs of pants today that were already on sale and I (GASP!) got to use the friends & family discount too.

<< Between this place & the dolts that I sell to on eBay >>

so ur the one selling this code on eBay?

Yeah. I'm selling a code that I gave away for free here. Brilliant business plan!

I sell merchandise on eBay to people that don't always read my policies until the auction is over.

Thanks, Used it at the B&M store today and it worked fine. I also ordered something on sale from the phone at the store. You can get a discount there too. Just ask them for the Friends and Family discount and they'll give it to you.

As you might know (especially if you follow the "official" J Crew discount thread), that there's free shipping on phone orders you make from the special order phone in the store.

This means that there is now 30% off & free shipping on catalog orders thru Sunday! Another HOT DEAL if there's something exclusive to the catalog that you want.

Just got back from J.Crew. I had a little trouble<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif"border=0>

I went to the back door and started knocking for Jimmy (I later found out he prefers James) and lost count. I wanted mens sales merchandise, so, I thought I knocked 7 times. When James aswered, he showed me some dresses. I told him I wanted mens clothing. He told me he could show me mens stuff, but the coupon would only take 25% off since I didn't knock the correct number of times. I got mad <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif"border=0> and said, "Fine, I'll take that red Lightweight linen dress in a ... a... 34?" He told me womens sizes are different from mens. He thought I'd be a size 20. Fit like a charm. $98 - 30% = $68!<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> Now, I have one question, do I have to shave my legs?

LOL David. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> It's funny, but I still don't get the concept of your story.

I had fun shopping! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

Bumping!
