Good deal, but here in CA Tax makes up most of the price difference between Wal Mart and Amazon. I ordered one of these from Amazon last week when the $50 rebate was still active. I managed to get Amazon to match their new price, so I'm still coming out ahead, but with Xmas coming up I'm going to be regretting the price I paid soon enough! Oh well, need it for a couple of upcoming trips, guess I gotta pay the early adopter tax.

If Amazon has the same price like WalMart, I will pull the trigger. I am in CA as well, 8.75% sales tax makes WalMart deal not so attractive.
I am waiting for Amazon or some other e-tailers to drop the price, at least close to WalMart price.

Amazon has the eee900 Linux version and 16gb for $349 and free shipping
But the EEE901 it is a lot better handling graphics and video.

Many counties in SF/SJ BayArea have higher than 8.25% rate.
I guess that's one of the biggest reasons more e-tails will be doing well.
