I have a rhodesian ridgeback who sheds like crazy, even though she has short fur.
Yes, mine works very well but be sure to use this outside! You might also want to read the reviews for some tips.

We have one too. Tried all the rest but this one really seems to get down deep. As turtlebug said, 'use this outside". You'll be amazed how much fur can come off of a (live) animal.
Yea, these work - now I know why there's hair all over the house but my dog isn't bald!

great deal! PETsMART sells this for $60+. I think I got mine cheaper than the link at the local dog shelter. I think they worked out some special deals with some companies and your local shelter may do it too.
I use it in conjunction with a ZoomGroom and it works very well on our Border Collie.

Nice found OP! I got one for my short hair cats, and was surprise to see how much less fur my vacuum picks up. Costco has them for $34.99 (S)|$39.99 (M) |$49.99(L), too bad that I didn't wait for a bit longer...
works well.. good price. i bought for around the same through eb@y.

If you are ambitious you could always order from Amazon and when the new one comes in take it to costco and return it. (and thus pay the Amazon price.) I believe you don't even need a receipt, they can look up all your purchases via your membership card.
Anyone have experience with using this on a cat? Medium hair?

Nice post. I own one of these and they do work.. however I have 2 dogs, one medium and one short haired dog. It works much better on the medium haired dog. So for those of you with short haired dogs, I don't know if it is worth the price - since you may not have much hair/undercoat to take out.
Also. I saw this after I purchased mine - for a much cheaper price, and I've also seen cheapies at walgreens - has anyone tried them?
Works great on my German Shepard / Akita mix. Got the large one on Amazon for twenty something.
BTW, this is a good price. I saw it in a specialty pet store the other day for $75. $75!!! Good grief all it is a little metal tooth comb attached to a plastic handle. The margin on this thing must be scary high.

For those of you who own it and use it on your cats, did you buy the small, med, or large size?

I bought a medium sized one for my dog - she's a shorthaired dog, and while it works, it doesn't do as good of a job as it does on my cats. I was absolutely AMAZED at how much hair came off of my cat - like a whole other cat!
Just wanted to add that it works great on an elkhound. Definitely worth the money.

Greatest invention EVER. I have a Black Lab and an Australian Cattle Dog/Rottweiler mix. The FURminator works wonders on them! My neighbor stops by once a week with his Siberian Husky and gives her a good furminating too... The amount of dog hair around the house has dramatically decreased since we started using this, and the neighbor's Husky is a heck of a lot happier in the Georgia heat! I recommend it to any dog or cat owner I know.

Excellent price! Upco has some of the best prices for supplies and they are way higher!
Thanks OP, just got two of these for my gf and my sister.
For their cats. By that I mean their felines. And that should eliminate the possibility of joke backlash.

I just ordered one, I have a 25lb beagle mix, heard this was a great tool so I ordered it! Saw these at the store for almost double this price and was too cheap to buy and I'm glad I didnt. Hope it works as advertised!
I love animals but I would never live with them. This people who make the pets poop around every where we go need to be caged with their pets. This world would be a much nicer place without dog poop. Pardon if I offend pet lovers but it is not fun to walk out of a lawn with dog $hit under the shoes.
I have the small one for my cat. He absolutely loves it when I use it on him. I just got one for my girlfriend's lab. Hopefully the 4" isn't too big. Thanks OP!
