I think the upgrade is not allowed anymore. Tried over the weekend 3 times with different reps and they all firmly said they cannot "upgrade" or convert it. One guy even said it was due to the economy that Chase is enforcing this rule. I need to apply for the card if I want the rewards program. current card has 3 points for Amazon.com and 1 point for all others including groceries, and I have no other reward options except for Amazon certs which is mailed automatically. I guess I'll have to actually apply for another Amazon card to get this program |

They said it is not allowed anymore. Right now I get the 3pts/dollar on Amazon, and 1pt every where else. |

I saw something in a mailing I got a couple weeks ago saying I would get double points on any purchases I made on my Amazon Visa now thru September 09. Didn't think much of it at the time since I only use my Amazon Visa for Amazon purchases. |

Fairly new to FW had never seen this thread - I had signed up for the upgrade based on the one webpage that showed the 2xpoints for 90 days - http://rewards.chaseonlinepages.com/upgrade/ I did not see there was a 60000point cap. I have been banging this for all my everyday spending and an f-load of coins. No points in Sept and I now see that August was haircut a bit as well as I hit 60K in that month. I wrote customer service saying that page had no mention of a cap on the 2x webpage. I also now see that they used to show cumulative points for the year on the statements - but stopped showing that in June. Any additional thoughts on getting my 90K in points? Any help at all would be appreciated. |

What did Chase say when you called to complain? I don't really understand the "No points in Sept" comment. Did you not get any points for one month? That seems wrong. Going over the cap because you did not notice that there was one is not likely to get resolved in your favor (not to mention, once they look at what you've been doing, you are not likely to get any sympathy from them). |

The person I talked to suggested I fax something in as she could not do anything - I am e-mailing now through the customer service center - will fax later if need be. My whole arguement hinges on 3 things. 1 - that webpage clearly says 2x points in first 90 days and nothing else, ie no limitations. Since I am not aware of a points limitation on the original card - I am not sure how I was supposed to pick that up (note - if you look on Amazon.com advertisement for the card, there is a footnote showing a 60K max - on Chase's site there was nothing) 2 - I have e-mails from customer service saying I get 2x points till Sept 12 - no mention of a cap 3 - Because of Chase AA (due to total debt to income, not usage), Chase slashed my lines. Since I had 10K in coins pending, I had to scramble. I figures what the hell and I wrote customer service to complain. They agreed to give me an extra 5K points - if I was maxed out, they should have let me know then. Its pretty thin I know. "No points in Sept" - means not points on my Sept 10 statement - could have seen this in August, but I only lost a few then - so it fell under my radar. |

I just got this email from Chase. Not sure if office supply stores no longer get 2% or if they just left it out. Doesn't matter to me since my Schwab card gives me 2% back on everything. Great News! Your Amazon.com Rewards Visa Card has been enhanced. You can now earn up to 100,000 points each year, and the points you earn NEVER EXPIRE. Continue to use your Amazon.com Rewards Visa Card to earn more rewards!
Don't forget - you earn points on all your eligible purchases *)
* EARN 3 POINTS on Amazon.com purchases
* EARN 2 POINTS on gas, dining, and drug store purchases
* EARN 1 POINT everywhere else Visa(R) credit cards are accepted

I finally got my card a week ago, even though i called about a month and a half ago and had it upgraded. The papers still say 3 2 1 and nothing about the double points. Anyone know where I can check to see if i got the double points? |

i gotta find a way to get the double points again! how do you get up to 45k points? don't they give you $25 automatically whenever you accumulate 2,500 points? |
