She also said nothing about the Oct.-Dec. thing, she only said it would take 3-4 business days to take affect. I had her send me the "blank" card just so I could see what in the Hell she was talking about. I may just shred it and use my old card, but the curiosity was killing me.
Thanks OP! Greened.
I actually think the CSR might have said "Blink". It is supposed to be Chase's version of a RFID chip in the card for quick paying. I also have this new card coming -- so I guess we'll see.
See Link Ahhhh, makes sense. She had a thick southern drawl.....

2 questions. I have 2000 reward points in my old Amazon card. I have not cashed it since it is less than $25. If I upgrade, will my former rewards points be removed on my new card? second question: is it 4 points for ANY gas station within 90 days? who can answer me ? |

Points move to the new card. For your second question it is not a simple answer. It SHOULD be any gas station but some stations are not coded as gas stations and you won't get the discount. But that is pretty unusual, so yes, it should be ANY gas station. |

Also, just got my rate reduced from 28.99% variable to 27.99% fixed. Thank god I pay this card off every month. 730 FICO score, $65k annual salary and this is the best they can do for me, WTF.
If you pay the card off every month why do you care what the rate is? Also, meant to add that I spent over $50k on this card last year. Never missed a payment, nor had any interest hit. I deserve a lower interest rate. |

yiruixu said:thanks. and how can we request a check instead of a Amazon GC? You have to logon to their site and go to the Rewards section for your Amazon Visa account. You can order an Amazon GC, some gas gift cards, a $50 check, or even airline ticket vouchers (25k points for up to $400). and Does the new chase card have $1.99 credit adjustment each month? Huh? I've never seen that. However, I should say that I did accidentally autopay the minimum due on a different Chase Visa card last month and only caught it a couple of days later, at which point I paid the rest before the bill closed. On the bill, they charged me a $1 finance charge and then gave me a $1 adjustment to zero it out. I was very impressed. |

you just pay the balance before the statement day. and do not pay full. For example you have $80 balance. You pay $78.01 and make the balance less or equal than $1.99. Then on the statement day, chase will pay the rest $1.99 for you. In fact I let Chase pay me $1.99 every month. |

Don't they send these mailers out like every 3 months? There's a code in the mailer and you have to go to a website and enter the code to activate the double-reward. But for some reason when I check my rewards, the points never double. |

I actually also have a double point promotion active on this card, I got it around the same time as I converted. I believe that will get posted sometime after the 90 day period. That sounds like what you are talking about, so you would not see it on the monthly statement. |

Yep...just 2 minutes to process by phone. When they ask you which promotional offer you're responding to, just mention the "3-2-1 double rewards offer." Pass on the offer for credit card protection if you're so disinclined. Then wait 3-4 business days before the doubled rewards take effect. |
