I think I have already included the TTS voice folder inside the iGO8 software...all you have to do is select "Samantha TTS" from the voice menu...

Okay, so I got a C520 running Miopocket and I'm trying to run Igo8.

1. igo8 runs pretty good, but... TTS does not say street names, etc. Is that normal?
2. When I'm in "3d" mode, I can't get the little arrow(the "car" where I'm going) to show up. It's just a little dot. Can I change the pointer to an arrow, or do I have to live with this little squinty dot?
3. How do I get the pointer to face where I'm going? Usually, I think the pointer in 2D mode only shows my direction with the map pointing NORTH. I just want my pointer facing forward at all times (ie. driving direction showing forward)

I'm also trying to install DIMKA's skin, but it does NOT work. I put the zip files into igo8/content/skin. I had to create a "skin" folder. Is that ok?

This is what I have done...

Create a folder "iGO8" on the root of the SD card
Unzip the contents of iGO8 onto the "iGO8" folder...
under content folder..you will see ..building, dem, lang, map, poi, scheme, skin, sppedcam, voice...If you don't see these folders under iGO8/content ...create these folders...download the maps, dem, poi...voice ...and put each under their respective folder...run iGO8.exe..and you are good to go..once you get iGO8 working...I will send you the instructions for installing TTS on iGO8...good luck

Have downloaded some maps from the 2007 Premium Maps but after uploading/copying it into my Mio C320, the copied maps have a "key logo" or appeared to have been locked and I'm unable to open any of the maps. Is there an unlock code for these maps?

look thru this thread. There was another link next to link for maps to get couple more files that you need to replace.

How do I unzip/unrar these files? Sorry, but I'm new to this gadget. I've my GPS for 3 months and my maps are dated 2006 Nav Atlas.

iGO8 should say street names..check to see if you have enabled TTS...choose the option from voice menu...

map screen --> go to page 2 --> check "cursor CAR" ...remember car icon will work only on 3D...otherwise ARROW on 2D...

I am using Dimka's skin..which by default points facing forward (top)...

You have put the zipped files in the right folder....but choose skins that applies to you resolution settings...meaning I use 480x272 skins for my Mio C320...other skins with low or high resolutions (240 /800..) will grey out in the skin menu option...
