Get cash for your old laptops at the below 2 websites. You can do an automatic quote on their website without entering any personal info (at least at cashforlaptops), then if you decide you want it, you enter your mailing info and the protective packaging arrives within a few business days, easy, hassle free! Once you receive your confirmation email you must sign into the website and under my transactions click confirm on each laptop before they send you the packaging.
Cash For Laptops

There is also another website which works similar here, and may offer better pricing => Laptops Into Cash

Use the newly found cash to take advantage of one of the other new laptop deals posted on FatWallet!!!

If you get quotes for your laptop, please add them to the Quick Summary, maybe even put which site was used in parenthesis.

Why the red ...?

Cause the prices are 1/2 of what you can get on CL!

Please enlight me. What is CL?

this is ripped off sd, but w.e it is, u can get a good chunk of money even if your laptop isn't working. you wont get that much at CL or eBay for a non working laptop

You would be wrong. There is never a shortage of people who buy broken laptops on eBay. Even old ones. These people are probably making a mint off idiots who think they can't get a dime for their laptops.

It really depends on the laptop. Their website takes so little information into account, some offers really seem extremely generous, while others are laughably low.

I think some people just miss the point ... I didn't pass this along from SD thinking that people would ONLY use these sites to try and unload their old laptops! People wanting to unload old stuff should have EVERY option available to check to get the BEST price or quickest sale (whatever), whether it be CL,eBay, your local paper/store, or sites like these ... IMO every option at your disposal should be examined to find one that best suits your needs, then take the best route for you ... doesn't always mean the best route for everyone will get the highest dollar amount either ... some people might just want to take the most simple route to get the job done as quick as possible as long as the cash is within reason!

I figured a lot of red would follow this posting, but I still believe people should be informed that these options exist along side eBay, CL, etc.! To each their own.

Thanks for the website, I was going to throw away my Dell 600m (the hard drive has been dead for 2 years). Now I can get an extra $95. Thanks thanks!

LOL, $55 for my Dell 600m in good working condition (new battery) and no known defects. What a joke...

What a joke...Yes, I believe many of the quotes probably will be horrible and it will be worth it for those people to take their used laptops to eBay, CL, or sell them elsewhere, but there will be others here that find they will get a good deal from one of these above sites, and for those individuals it will be worth it.

It would be worth it to people who don't want to hassle with eBay. This place sends you the packing and everything. So for people who are lazy -- like me.. it might be a decent deal.

$195 for a Thinkpad X30 when eBay list price is $219-$250.. Subtract eBay fees and risk and its actually not a bad deal. Since this laptop is just gathering dust (I have a replacement) I might use this service to get something for it. The other site quoted only $50 for the same thing.

Just sold them my Dell inspiron 6000, for $210 with a bad battery and half the keyboard not working (thank my brother and a mishandled bottle of Pepsi for that one). Worth it considering If i wait i can probably find a new ACER with even better specs than the 2 yr old Dell for around $350 -$450. Plus no fees or hassle.

BTW- used laptops into cash got 210$ other site was offering 185$
