Help please.
Want to add sata functionality to my older pc.
I have already 2 extra 500gb sata drives as paperweights from upgrading to 1 tb on main pc.
Can anyone recommend a pci card that will allow me to run 1 x ide drive (W/O reinstalling windows-too much work) plus 2 x sata drives for storage only, for a reasonable price that will function with an intel motherboard circa 2005?
Was thinking of this.

I bought this card on eBay a few years ago for about $20 shipped. Works great and supports the full SATA 300 speed which is nice. The one you linked is limited to 150 speeds, but honestly, you might never notice the difference.

mx-100 doesn't have a fan. i have both enclosures and the 100 gets really hot.
the mx-1 is a good enclosure. they go on sale from time to time at fry's for $30 as well.

Thanks OP, I have one of these cases and they rock, they have active cooling system (fan), so it keeps my drive nice and cool..I'll buy another.
