email address harvesting scam... what assholes.

And 48 hours have passed. These morons aren't meeting their promise. Hit 'em hard when those codes finally come.

I looked at some tickets. They're 4 rows in front of what I can get direct from the theater and even with the discount they're still $25 more a ticket. Rip off.

Talked to TicketsNow, and now ready to blast Geico....48 hours after I signed up an NADA...

For example, NJ State law...25% price cap beyond face value.
Nine Inch Nails, Atlantic City..face value is $68.
Sellers are selling for up to $418 each.

You think Ticketmaster is actually going to regulate and abide by state laws when they are making 15% commission? hah.

That law only applies to NJ residents. So if someone in Montana is selling the tickets to a NY resident who is going to attend the show in NJ, there are no laws being broken.

still haven't received my $50 code and I signed up last wednesday..everybody else having the same problem?

alert mods

Did anyone actually receive the 50$ codes? I think they just grabbed all our email addresses and are gonna spam hard!

alert mods

I also signed up last week and did not receive any promotion code. I sent an e-mail to the website on Saturday. I received a reply today that said I should contact Customer Service (1-800-927-2770). I talked with them and they said that all of my information did not go through, so they may have thought the sign up was a prank. The lady took the rest of my info, address and phone and said she would forward it to their Internet people to send me the code. Let's see what happens!

good logical reasoning.

Got my code...used it along with the free shipping link from an earlier post to score some preseason hockey tickets. Ran into a couple of issues...code is technically only good for tickets over $50 (I tried with a pair of $21 tickets, and it gave me a $42 discount...picked a pair of $25 tickets, and it gave me the full $50). Also, technically, only one discount per order. Geico's site explicitly says to stack the 5% and $50. On my order summary screen, it showed the free shipping and $50 off. On the order confirmation screen, the free shipping magically disappeared, after they had charged my card. Needless to say, I contacted Customer Service immediately, let them know about the issue (while gently pointing out that it would be a very easy dispute for me since I had a screenshot before I clicked "Submit"), and they kindly refunded the $14.95 shipping charge.

So just a heads up that their web site likes to do the old switcheroo...

Preseason hockey was my plan too, but no code for me yet and the game is Monday. I actually ended up using stub_hub with a coupon and fat_cash for the preseason tickets. If my code shows up, I'll jump in for another game.

All I got so far was a "Welcome to Geico Privileges" e-mail, but no code from TicketsNow.com.

When did your code arrive?

TripWire said:I really don't get what kind of ripoff operation this is.
It's basically a legal operation owned by Ticketmaster where tickets are scalped.
Ticketmaster gets 15% of the comission and the tickets are being sold for way more than face value, how is this legal?
I am also betting Ticketmaster withholds tickets and puts them on this site so they can be sold for more.
Why would anyone give money to this site? You are better off getting tickets on eBay or craigslist and not giving more money to such a corrupt company as Ticketmaster.

For example, NJ State law...25% price cap beyond face value.
Nine Inch Nails, Atlantic City..face value is $68.
Sellers are selling for up to $418 each.

Hey, they must've started salivating after seeing that the Cubs have been getting away with it for years (yes they scalp their own tickets to their fans, that set up is actually much worse than this)
