really? i did not know? is this only for Discover cards or any gift cards....i have a shell visa gift card and some visa gift cards with me....please let me know I dont have all the answers but I would assume visa,AMEX GC will work the same way. At my near Shell station, the card had to be swiped at the counter and you have to tell him the charge amount, so it doesnt work like a normal gas card or credit card for that matter. At the pump, you ask for difference (in NJ) otherwise go to the counter and ask for it. Some merchants will place $1 pre-autho charge and so you will routinely give the charge amount. Others like shoprite (in my town) will read it like a credit card so I dont have to type in the charge amount. It all depends on the merchant. Dont know about any other CashBack routes. Gift cards are designed to lock any CashBack option |

I felt kinda bad buying $2000 of watches the other day knowing that I was going to return them.I feel your pain. I love those watches. I bought them last year and they were so nicely made so I bought them again at Amazon 3 times less expensive. |

Our mall gift card is not a Discover Gift Card, but a mall card that can only be used in the mall no where else. And the discover cards that they do sell come in 100 increments so buying 10 would cost 49.50 |

Tried ordering $500 in dollar coins on the ggp mall discover card. Obviously won't know if it comes until it comes but it did charge the card immediately. |

I just did the same thing today after I asked the girl at the customer service desk if I could look at the back of the "mall" gift card. The card is nothing more than a rebranded Discover Gift Card. You can use them everywhere Discover is accepted. |

GoCubs said:In Cook County (Chicago), our sales tax is crazy 10%. So it's like buying stuff tax free. I may as well do that online and save the hassle of crowd and gas and traffic.... OMG! I've been gone from Chicago for school and I had no idea. It was 8.75% which was bad. 10.25%? Crook county indeed. |

Doesn't help if the notebook isn't connected to the network. SecretSaver said:They swipe the cards on a laptop this year, same as in the past years. Remember though, it is max 5 gift cards per account, nothing says you can't have multiple Discover accounts |

I went to Southpoint Mall in Durham, NC - the laptop they were using had an ethernet cable plugged in. I haven't been able to determine if it's linked to a centralized system. |

I can officially confirm that you can take advantage of this at multiple malls with the same card (again). I am guessing the swiping of the Discover card is merely to prevent you from using the card more than 5 times AT ONE MALL. I don't have the cajones to try using the same card more than 5 times at the same mall, but I'm satisfied that I can basically make $300 per mall with my 3 cards. |

I found the following terms on GGP gift cards. Can someone explain to me how you can use it outside of the malls while the terms seem to be very clear that it can only be used inside mall. Where can the GGP Gift Card be used? The GGP Gift Card can be used at retail stores such as department and specialty stores, gift shops, as well as at restaurants within GGP Shopping Centers.
Can I use my GGP Mall Gift Card to make purchases from GGP retailers online? No. The GGP Mall Gift Card cannot be used to make online purchases, it can only be used at retailers and restaurants located in GGP shopping centers. It doesn't appear to matter though. |
