I have 2 of these drives for ~1 year and did not have a single problem. One is in ThinkPad T61 and one is in MacMini. Drives were pulled from external units (with DTG* serial number).
Many people associate Deathstar drives from 5-7 years ago with current Hitachi drives. The association does not have any facts to support it besides the fact that current Hitachi drive business was bought from IBM that had Deathstar fiasco many, many years ago.
Damn, that does seem like a really good deal. My Lenovo 3000 N100 laptop came with an 80gb SATA HDD, and I'd like to upgrade it, but I just can't justify doing so (I don't really NEED it, I just WANT it.)

Every hard drive brand/model has its lemons. This is a very highly rated drive and it performs well. I bought one when previously listed at BB (external DTG model) and have had no problems in my Thinkpad.

Hence I feel the 320 is a better deal

Yup, looks like I'll be returning the 7K200 for the 7K320, damn it, I wish I would've seen this first.
