Costco has the Disneyland Deluxe pass(315 days includes Saturdays, only 50 blackout days) for both parks Disneyland and California Adventure for $269 +$50 Disney gift card in Costco Stores - about 20% off Disneyland price

Combine with 2009 Birthday offer($75 birthday fun card when sign up below) to make it $269 - $50 - $75 = $144
Fun card can be used on merchandise, $50 gift card can be used on anything.

Q: I am an Annual Passholder (or have a valid Multi-Day Ticket that I will use for admission on my birthday in 2009), so I don't need to take advantage of this offer. If I register, is there anything else I could receive on my birthday?

A: Yes, you have several options which are available for you to select once you arrive at the Park with your confirmation message and your proper ID. You can receive:

* A birthday fun card in an amount equal to the price of a 1-day One Day/One Park base ticket* for you to use on your birthday for merchandise, recreation or fun activities at select participating locations at Disneyland® Resort.

Another option for existing Annual Pass holders (AP) is to get the free ticket on your birthday, and after your current AP expires, use the free ticket and upgrade to next years AP, effectively getting a $75 discount, this is great for the So cal AP, $174-$75 = $99 (215 day pass)

thx Morisato13 for the double dip offer.

DEAL IS DEAD, costco no longer sells the annual pass , they just have the 4 day hopper for $160

This would go great with this deal.

I love double dipping...

It's like coming in from the front all innocent and everything, and once you take advantage of the deal up front, you surprise them with a back door surprise deal!

Yes the double offer sweetens the deal to basially, $269 -$50 - $75 = $144 sweet.

Plus you will easily blow the gift cards on food and mickey ears and parking.

What? Disneyland and not Disney World? That's coastism.

You can add parking to a Deluxe AP for around $65 at the ticket booth.

Does all Costco's have this? I was just about to buy 3 annual passes tomorrow... U just saved me $150bux, Thanks OP

Can you enlighten us about the 'double offer'? And about $75 off?

Thanks

The $75 was meant to indicate what any companions would save off a 1-day ticket if you accompanied them on their birthday.

You're welcome, glad you can benefit, I unfortunately just bought 4 California Annual passes for $174 each plus $59 for parking and saw the costco offer at the store 3 weeks later.

Actually, he was probably referring to the following:

Actually, here is some info from http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/disneyparks/en_US/WhatWillYouCelebrate/disneyland/index?name=CelebrationsDLRFreeOnYourBirthdayPage&bhcp=1 that may apply:

* A 1-day One Day/One Park base ticket for you to use any time until your next birthday.

*Ticket price at Main Entrance ticket booth. Adults receive card in the amount of an adult ticket; children (ages 3-9) receive card in the amount of a child ticket. For terms and conditions of the card and details on participating locations, click here.

+The number of birthday FASTPASS tickets issued is limited and may not be available after 11am. Valid Theme Park admission required. FASTPASS for birthday celebrant and up to 5 members of his/her party.

Q: What if I don't spend my entire birthday fun card on my birthday?

A: The birthday fun card is valid only on your birthday. Any residual value cannot be recovered by the Guest after that day.

To Goferebater, It's the same deal at Disneyworld Re: Free Birthday entry, check Disney Parks website for details (which are basically the same...) Don't know about local Costco type merchants in that area for Annual Pass deals though..but have fun on your B-day anyway!
Snessy

Is the gift card to Disney or Costco?

Never bought the annual passes from Costco before ... can anyone clarify my assumption that the year does not begin until the first day you use them?

Also ... if the above is true ... do you have to begin using it within a certain amount of time?

And, finally, if you want to upgrade to premium, does anyone know if they deduct the price of the gift card from what you paid (I would guess not, but thought I'd check)?

If you plan on doing this deal, just make sure you understand how it works:

1 - you MUST visit the park on your birthday to get the discount
2 - once you get the birthday fun card you MUST spend the full $75 on your birthday, or lose what you don't spend. The fun card will NOT be $75 - if you visit on an adult's birthday it will be $69, or a child's birthday (under age 9) $59. That is the cost of a ONE PARK/ONE DAY ticket

$75 is the cost of a ticket to Disney World, but you can only get that by visiting Disney World on your birthday, not Disneyland.

If you wouldn't be spending $69 on sourvenirs anyway, it's not such a great deal. I don't know if you can use the $69 to upgrade your pass, but if you can, it MUST be done on your birthday. Registering at the website only gives them your information so you don't have to fill out a form when you get there.

Come of the restrictions:

The Birthday Fun Card may not be used towards the payment of Walt Disney World® or Disneyland® Resort Hotel room night folio charges, or a Disney Cruise Line® reservation aboard Disney Cruise Line®, or towards the purchase of any food and beverage items, alcohol, cigarettes, spa services and products, or personal services such as face painting, caricature drawings, hair braiding, and hair wrapping.
More restrictions

So NO FOOD
probably Mickey Ears
probably NO Parking

They want you to spend it on things you wouldn't otherwise be purchasing.

If you don't live nearby, and have an annual pass, it may be a good deal. If live several hours away, and were not already planning to visit on your birthday, it's not such a great deal - because you will have to visit that specific day.

Disney won't be losing any money on this, because most people visit the park with friends - do you and your friends all have the same birthday? If not, they will still have to pay for their tickets. The only people they would potentially lose money on are annual/seasonal pass holders, but they will make many selling food and drinks to them, and whoever visits with them. Pretty good marketing plan!

Goferebater said: What? Disneyland and not Disney World? That's coastism.

Definitely not Disney World then? Does Costco only offer Disney Land passes?

If I buy the Deluxe pass at Costco now, then when would I have to redeem it by? I currently have an active pass that won't be expiring until next March.

Is the Disneyland Deluxe pass($269 +$50 gift card) available through Costco's website, or only in stores? Is the $50 gift card for Costco or for Disneyland? Thanks.

Anyone in SoCal know if Costco has the "Southern California" passport??

grndstny said: Anyone in SoCal know if Costco has the "Southern California" passport??
I only saw the deluxe passport. Pretty sure costco wont have multiple choices.

Can I buy multiple passes and get multiple $50 cards?

I am assuming this deal is only for people residing in So. Cal. and only at the So. Cal. Costcos. We were planning on going to Disneyland in Nov. and might be interested in this deal, but we live in the Bay Area. So would be be able to pick up these tickets at the So. Cal Costco or are they only good if you have a So. Cal. ID.

No id required, as this is the deluxe pass and not the so cal or so cal select.

Which Costco did you go to? The Costco in Tustin does not have this deal

Carmel mountain and gateway drive both had em in San Diego.

I'm not going to make a special trip, but I'll check my local Costco for this deal next time I'm there. My wife and I get the premium AP's. Last year I got mine at a Disney Store and combined it with the Discover malls promotion to save 10%. This works out to a ~13% savings after paying for the upgrade.

Thank you... calling around.. Fullerton has it and the Gift card is for Disney Money. You can use it towards the parking.

yazooo said: Carmel mountain and gateway drive both had em in San Diego.

Where is it located in the Fullerton store? I just walked through the store and couldn't find it. I checked near the other park tickets and asked 2 employees.

Also what is the costco item number?

Just bought 3 from Fullerton. I think they only have a few left. The tickets are at merchandise pickup, go there and ask for the item number. They will give you the item number to check out at the cashier then you go back to the pickup.

When you do go to disneyland with those tickets, make sure you go through the ticket booth to get the actual park tickets. At that time, they will give you the gift cards. Do not go straight to the entrance as you will get sent back to the ticket booth. That wasted us 20 mins today and there weren't even that many people.

Wouldn't it suck if your birthday falls on one of the blackout days of the Deluxe Annual Pass?

not worth if you plan a single visit

I get tired of Disney after 1 visit anyhow.

simpsons4ever said: Wouldn't it suck if your birthday falls on one of the blackout days of the Deluxe Annual Pass?

Nope, it's even better because the first day you use your pass can fall on any day of the year, including blackout days.

simpsons4ever said:

Not just now, but they have for years. They are only available in a couple of locations though.
