This is a good deal for those who need it. Normally sells for $180, today it's $150 with an instant $50 off coupon = $100 with free 3 day shipping.

Linksys' Storage Link technology lets you connect a USB external hard drive or USB flash drive. This way you can allow multiple users on your network to access files of all kinds. A built-in Media Server takes that up a notch, giving you the ability to stream music, video, and photos from the attached storage device to any UPnP (universal plug and play) media adapter.

$100 for the WRT350N is a good price for a great router , I have the wrt300n, and it has been good to me for almost 18 months. It is being replaced by the DualBand WRT610N for $150 which also has storage link

The WRT3xxN and WRT6xxN routers are actually two different lines. WRT3xxN routers are single-band while WRT6xxN routers are dual-band.

Go to your shopping cart and enter "EMCAKBKBB" (w/o quotes) into the "Promo Code" field under "Apply Promo Code".

In for one, thanks OP!

WRT350N V1.0 supports dd-wrt
WRT350N V2.0 doesn't seem to support dd-wrt

I don't want to sound negative on your deal...

Read the reviews... this router has a horrible record of dropping the wireless
signal. I own one and it constantly drops my signal- every 20 min!
I just ordered a new router and I'll have to give up on this one.

Good luck.

UPnP (universal plug and play) is new for me.
Can anyone show me any article how to setup and use UPnP without knowledge of UPnP spec?
Thanks,

From my very limited experience, you just need to enable the upnp option in your router. when a network software installed in your pc needs to use this function, it can automatically detect it.

hope it helps

Without question one of the worse products Linksys has ever produced. In addition to frequent radio failures the Storage link feature on this model is worthless an consistantly locks up regardless of the USB media used. The only thing you wlll streaming from this POS is CAT5 wire.

I had three (2 v1s and 1 v2) of these fail within a 2 month period last year until Linksys tech support finally gave up and admitted the product was a total failure and upgraded me to a WRT600N.

I must've gotten lucky. I bought this router soon (like 4mos) after it came out for like $150, and have been using it reliably ever since. I made it a dd-wrt router from the get-go, using the revision firmware that makes the button on the top of the router toggle on/off the wireless (since I don't like having my wireless on all the time). When the wireless IS on, though, I don't have issues with dropped signals. Can't say that I have gotten the usb port on the router to connect to a USB HDD, but that's why I have a NAS drive tying up one of my gigabit ports.

I almost bought this today, but wound up picking up the D-Link DIR-655 for the same price. I read way to many bad reviews knocking the WRT350N. The DIR-655 has received stellar reviews.

The USB NAS option on the WRT350N is neat, but again, apparently doesn't work that well from what I've read.

I also selected the DIR-655 based on the reviews and top test ratings. It is a superb wireless router.
