Pretty good deal, its only 17 inches deep, which is impressive.
Power assumption 245W, is that good??? what is the average power use on a 50" lcd or 50" plasma???
your better off with a projector lcd....these dlp have horrible viewing angles..
I went to costco to see their 63inch model...Yuck...lack of contrast.
putting an lcd or plasma up to it...makes you think a projector would take less room...and bigger picture.

The viewing angle has absolutely nothing to do with DLP. That is just part of the rear projection setup, regardless if it is LCD, DLP or regular rear projection from old.
A properly tuned DLP will kick the snot out of most LCD, whether flat panel, rear projection, or whatever.
I have a DLP TV and am looking to upgrade to the 73". Am holding out the Laservue Series from Mitsubishi, supposed to be out this fall. These sets are only 10" deep and consume like 25% of Plasma/LCD power. However, the pricing is supposedly on par with Plasma and LCD TVs. I would get one of these in a heartbeat. Also check out the LED lighting based series of Samsung DLPs - while the image quality is great, they do suffer from the dreaded 'Shut Off' problems. thanks, OP

Its not bad at all, especially for the size. Take a look at this article:
LOL. I too thought it was an LCD. Oh wel maybe on BF.
At least the $60 FW Cash Back compensates for about half the shipping...
The 73835 version of this TV includes 120hz processing.
Just in case you were looking for an excuse not to buy right now. ![]()
Nice find, in one for my bathroom, so when I take a shit I can have something to watch.

Didn't research the 120 hz of this model (just passing thru to refresh my smuggness re my better DLP
) BUT the specs said this was 3D ready and I thought it takes 120 hZ to do 3D (60 hz for the right image and 60hz for the left image.
