Both of the Meijer stores around me (Chicago area) have most of their LCDs on clearance. I saw that they had:
GFM 26" LCD HDTV with HDMI & built in DVD player - $324.99
Sylvania 26" LCD HDTV with HDMI - $349.99
Astar 27" LCD HDTV with HDMI - $249.99

They had more but I don't remember them all, but it appeared they were getting rid of all the TVs they were carrying (both LCD and tube TVs). I bought one of the Astars (can't go wrong for that price)!
The Meijer by Ikea in Bolingbrook had the GFM and Sylvanias, and a display model of the Astar, while the one further down Boughton Rd. had a few Astars but were out of everything else.
I do realize that these aren't top brands (although I did see some Sony LCDs on clearance, I just don't remember model/price) but for somebody looking for a cheap HDTV this would be the way to go.
