Picked up some yesterday. Shelf tag was $8.97. Rang up as $6.47!

RadioShack brand of low discharge NiMH batteries, like the eneloop. Others have said that these are Rayovac rebadged as RadioShack.

None in SF, perhaps elsewhere in the Bay Area but not downtown... Nice deal OP.

I have a number of different brands of AAA rechargeables that I don't use anymore because I find they don't work as well as alkalines in portable radios. Please let us know about the performance of these.

If they are not re-badged Rayovacs I wouldn't touch RS batteries with a 10 foot electric pole (lithium-ion powered). I've had too many wasted money experiences with them over the years even to the point where I insisted that they were so crappy, a store manager took them back. Just my 2 volts.
