Currently CVS has 48 count Giant (huge size) Flavor-Ice Popsicle bars at 75% off 14.99 with a $5 (limit 5 per household) extra bucks reward per box. Bought 5 @ $18.70 with $25 in extra bucks.

Look for it in the summer clearance isle next to the notepads.

Could've bought one, and used the ecb on the next one. that way you're out less oout of pocket and dont have a huge ECB left.

A couple of things to consider:
1) there is a coupon here for 2 off 10, expires on 9/28. If you can get your total over $10 then use the coupon to save a little more.

2) some stores have them at 90% off (ie, $1.49 each). You can lug the giant box up to the in-store scanner to see how much yours is.

3) Most boxes have a sticker on the box advertising the ECBs. Some stores will print the ECBs for you, some will not. You can try arguing with the cashier/manager to get your ECBs. If you dont get anywhere with them, you can call 1-800-shop-cvs and give them your receipt and extra care card info and they will credit your account with the ecbs. The ECBs will print out on your receipt with your next purchase.

Personally, I found mine for $1.49/box and no ECBs printed out. The cashier told me it was not eligible for ECBs because it was on clearance. I went home, called the 800 number, and they promptly credited my account with the ECBs.

My CVS in PA had about 10 cases, but they rang up at $14.99 and the ECB sticker on the box was blocked out by hand with black marker. I assume it's manager's discretion on clearances at each store, so I will wait it out and call the 800 number to get my ECBs like dric did. Thanks OP!

Rather than reporting "ECB did not print", it would be much more informative if people reported "it did not show up under the current promotions on my receipt AND the ECB did not print" (it's the former that causes the latter). It could be that there was a purchase price requirement to get the ECB, in which case it would show up in the promotions are and tell you how much is needed to get the ECB, or it might not show up at all.

There is no purchase price requirement. It is buy 1 box, get $5ECB.

The sticker on the box reads something like "you pay $14.99, you receive $5 ECB". If this is intended to be a minimum price requirement, clearly it is not enforced at all CVSs as per the OP and others who have reported receiving ECBs after paying a reduced price.

It seems that receiving the ECBs is YMMV on a per-store basis, however, if you do not receive them you can still have a good chance of getting them if you call the 800 number.

On my receipt, there was no mention of the promotion and as I mentioned earlier, the ECBs did not print.

BTW, this promotion is supposed to be valid through 12/31/08, as per the sticker.

I have been to several CVS stores in my area and have yet to see the jumbo box, but I did find the smaller 18-count boxes and while they don't provide any extra bucks back they only cost 75 cents a box. I bought the sugarfree variety. Sweetened with SPLENDA.

If they ring up the UPC, the ECB will print. If they enter the price manually, it won't.

I am certain that my UPCs were scanned - I can tell from the receipt - and no ECBs were credited or printed until I called.

I agree that if the price is entered manually, the ECBs should not credit.

I purchased 5 boxes last night at $1.49/box. UPCs were scanned, but no ECB was printed. I called 1800 this morning and was told to wait 2 days for the transaction to show up on their screen. Hopefully they credit ECBs...

Has anyone put these in the freezer yet? I bought some a few weeks ago but never froze them. Two days ago I put a few in the freezer and none of them has anything resembling ice in them yet. They feel very cold, but no ice. Everything else in the freezer is frozen solid.
