This lets me put mp3s on my sd card and play it in my car?
How do I hook it up to my car speakers?

It works over FM station. I have one and it works pretty well if you can find a empty station. You put your music on a SD card or USB memory stick and stick it in. You can also play things with a headphone jack because there is a line in jack. I have a 4gb microSD SDHC in a SD adapter and it works fine. I essentially like the random play and leave it in that mode. Also this thing was better than any FM transmitter I previously had. It lets you select any station to broadcast to because you can go thru the full FM range to transmit.
Sound quality is ok for being a transmitter. If you get a clear station to broadcast to it sounds about FM stereo quality. Also I noticed that if you mp3's are high quality the sound is better. If they are lower quality the sound will be low and you will start to hear some hiss or static in the background.
Organizing music is not good. I haven't figured if you can choose folders. I just put everything in the root directory and just let it play. It is backlit so you can kinda see the music being played at nite. The display is pretty small though.
For 10 bucks you can't beat it. This deal has been at Anand Forums for awhile.

I got sent one of these by accident by Deal Extreme--had ordered a microSD reader but this mistakenly sent this exact product. Don't bother with it--this model has too much static noise no matter which FM station I tried. The USB port is only for charging. Concept is good but implementation and quality is not.
wow, this has aux input?! wonder what kinda quality you get thru the cigarette adapter.

What do you mean by saying "The USB port is only for charging"? All the reviews on that website say it reads through USB.

Mine reads thru the USB and doesn't charge. He must have had a different model. The sound quality is just like any other FM transmitter. It seems to mute the highs and deepens the low. I have mine set to Normal EQ with the volume 8 out of 16. This seems to lessen the amount of distortion
I had this for a few months. Great value for $10, it sounds better than I had expected for $10.
One bad thing is that it doesn't shutoff so it's on all the time while power to the outlet is on and it gets a bit hot. It allows you to select ANY frequency which is great and it doesn't "bleed over" to other frequency as much as stuff I used in the past so you can listen to other FM station while this is on.
Remote battery runs out fast but I just got some CR2032 from eBay and it works (slightly thicker but you can force it in).

You can buy an adapter that one end fits in the cigarette lighter and the other end gives you dual or even triple sockets to plug radar detector ,FM transmitter and GPS.

This thing does sucks because of static noise. I manage found 92.2FM. It is almost static free. So far this is the best channel for many cars I have installed this unit on.
I got one of these, and I guess for less than $10, you can't expect a lot. It works and you can listen to your mp3's off your SD card. However, there are a few quirks about it that I have found to be annoying. 1. It doesn't remember where you were on the song you were playing. This was only a bother because I was listening to an audio book split up into 10 min. files. 2. It has this weird logic where it skips every other file. So if I have 30 mp3s, it would play #1, then #3, then #5, etc. I couldn't find any way on the remote or the device to change this behavior. 3. Sometimes it doesn't boot up properly and the screen gets all messed up. You have to pull it out of the power adapter and then plug it back in.
Oh, one last thing...DealExtreme is a company in China so it takes a little while to get your shipment. Also, if there is anything wrong with it, you have to pay for shipping to send it back (but luckily they have an office in FL you can send it to).

I've ordered from them once, and out of a multi-item order, one item was DOA. Yes, I had to send it as an RMA to Florida on my dime initially, but then they credited the shipping charges back to my credit card. Perhaps they do not reimburse you in all cases--does anyone know? But at least they did it for me. Anyway, I'm planning on making another purchase from DX in the near future, so I'm going to add one of these MP3 players to the order.
I placed the order for this on 27th Sep and the status still says "Order Received - in stock" wonder they will actually ship it. Does any one have prior experience with this site? Please advice

Do SDHC cards work in this? I see that $16.97 8gb sdhc card deal and was wondering if I could use that with this unit directly? If not, can someone point me to a place with an adapter?

I wasn't happy with this unit at first(lots of static) but I found by playing with the volume controls on the Ipod(in my case)/car radio/fm transmitter itself, the sound became much clearer. With the volume on my Ipod all the way up, I get a lot of static. I just turned that volume down and the car volume up and it sounds great for 10 bucks!!! Just ordered 2 more!
I wanted to bump this because I got mine this week, they are awesome, and they are still $9.48 shipped. The sound is fine, the remote works fine, and tuning is excellent. I got this so I could take my mp4 player in for the winter and to save on batteries with my other fm transmitter. I may never bring my mp4 player in the car again. Loading an sd with mp3s and plugging this in gives me easy, solid state tunes in my car for <$20!
But, when you load Mp3's on an SD card, they are sorted in alphabetical order.
So they play in that order.
Anybody figured out how to shuffle them ?

It doesn't save the last station I et...for example if station 102.3 was clear and I tune it to that...the next time I start my car it defaults back to 8x.x and I have to retune...is this normal? This is normal for this model. songs and frequency will be reset everytime you turn off power. Try this device, http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.23796. this FM transmitter will keep your last song and frequency even without power. This device still doesn't have random play feature though.
