worst service ... Buyers beware.

What is worst? call quality? connection problem? Customer service?

I am using it for sometime, I am a happy customer. Also there is no other better rate than it's Buy one get one free offer.

In what respect?
Its been working perfect for me. B1G1 provides the best bang for buck.

I am using airtel for over 6 months..call quality is good.
But,Airtel website is down now!!.. (just checked for price comparison with trueroots)
I used reliance before I shifted to Airtel .. I am happy with both of the services..
Never tried trueroots.. any comments on its quality and customer support..

we use rebtel and it is great...
India:
$0.056/min

I used Reliance few years, call quality is great. But now stopped due to better prices offered by others.

I used Rebtel too, their free 70 minutes. Good call quality and good rate, but not as good rate as airtel & trueroots with offers.

Currently I am using Trueroots which I always buy during their B1G1F promo period. I also use airtel ( I got special promo thru our company) as backup.

I have no experience with their customer service as I have no need to call them till today. But I am using their service since they came to market and I am happy with the call quality. And they never charge for calls which do not go thru ( I had that problem with reliance!).

I switched to trueroots with their previous BOGO. Their voice quality is much much better than Reliance and Airtel... I think the new provider is always better (my theory). when airtel came, their voice quality was better than Reliance and same is true for TATA

Have been using them since the beginning. The only issue I had was with my home number not getting recognized for pinless dialing. First they said they would fix it but no change, so after a couple of calls, they escalated it and after a few days the problem was fixed. Apparently calls originating from some viop services had a problem. Have been very happy with the call quality. With airtel, I occasionally had calls going to wrong numbers, but hadn't had that problem with trueroots.

I also like True roots service.. I took $100 and got $100 talk time for free. Their quality is good and is on par with Airtel & Reliance. I would say better hurry

There service is awful. I have been getting error message trying to register for a new account and after 15 min hold they said they will have tech support call in 24 hours. They dont even know what is causing this. Any one else had error message.

I agree too..Its worst to buy..

Thanks moderator for unlocking this thread. Appreciate much. The previous promo ended on 23rd. This is a new promo for Eid & Dusshera.

I have been using Trueroots for a couple of months. Call quality is very good. BOGO is an excellent deal. Earlier I was using Airtel and Reliance.

Still a Hot Deal even though they run this offer often.

Insert obligatory "I call India for free all the time, 1-800-D3LL-INC" comment here

well i have been using true roots for quite some time
Should say love the rates, esp buyone get one or even buy one get half
good quality -only problem, sometimes difficult to get rural places ,

Airtell - overall best quality

Realiance - used to use it often, now it is only for when necessary
ie - when i cannot use trueroots ,

I signed up with them earlier this year; very happy with the call service and the price is the best around (with the BOGO offer). I had slight difficulty when I first signed up on line and they had to call me home to confirm registration. Maybe they wanted to verify my address & tel. #; but now I renew with the BOGO when it comes up and am a very happy customer.

This is excellent quality. I have been using this since April.

Not sure why, but whenever I have tried to sign up for their service, I get this error :
"Sorry, an error occured and we could not proceed with your order.
The reason for this error is due to several factors.
Please, contact our technical support with the following information in hand "

I had the same problem. I tried several times and even different cards. Then i got smart and called. They verified the address etc and she said she reset everything and to try again and it should be fine and it sure was. I was able to open the account and used it today. The voice clarity was very good. Everything worked well after calling them once.

I am using Trueroots for last 6 months, I agree their service has some problems particularly with VOIP phones it can have some issues, but there is nothing which can beat 3.5 c/min with BOGO offer.
Except some connection issues, call quality is great, never had to call customer service.
Compare of Reliance, service is almost same, I had some issues with connection on Reliance. I have never tried calling with Airtel, I signed up for Airtel when they started, but gave up because of their web site and calling issues and took refund.

Thanks OP just now signed up and tried quality after putting in $10.00 in the account. I have VOIP at home and the quality was not bad at all. I have been using Reliance network since past couple of years. Tempting to change over to this trueroot by TATA.

Also Noticed they charged an extra dollar for the Tax. That is 10% not sure whay they are doing this. They are not having any office in my state for them to charge a tax on the purchase.

Looks like Reliance has set the presidential policy for charging Tax on phone service.

What a bummer.........

Using intervoip.com for around 4 cents per minute. Charge 13 dollars and give it a shot. It has some iffy feeling but I have used it for my first 13 dollars without any issue. Call quality as good as it can be.

This is a great deal signed up last night for $100 and got $200.

How do I register home phone (to prevent entering PIN). What should be keyed in for Country code? Thanks.

Sardarji,
Just log in to your account and there you can add up to 5 phone numbers from where you can make calls which will not need an input of pin number.
I am very satisfied with the quality and updated my account with extra $50. I also inquired about the 10% tax and send them the e-mail requesting an explanation.

1) I left country code blank and added home phone and made a call and yet asked me PIN.

2) I put '1' in country code and added home phone and made a call again asked me PIN.

What am I doing wrong?

Sardarji,
Are you hitting save button after adding 1 for country code and then adding your home phone number?

One way to verify this is next time you log in, go to account settings then configure account and then under "Registering your phone" tab you should see your phone number that you just added.

Good Luck.

Can someone explain how 1800-Dell-INC is used for free calls to INDIA? As stated by one of the member in trueroots post (which just disappeared... )
