Thanks imbigwillie at sd for the heads up on this deal.

Family Video has the Blu-Ray of Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008) for only $9.99. Also the UPC#794043123412 shows up on Amazon as the 2D/3D version with glasses.

linky

UPC would indicate that this is the Blu-Ray of the recent movie with Brendan Fraser.
"Studio: Genius Productions, Inc." would indicate that it's the classic movie that's being released at the same time. You'll have to decide whether it's worth the risk. Screenshots recommended.

Before anyone asks, Family Video is a reliable, straightforward company. Many a good deal from them has been had at FW.

Are there any coupon codes for free shipping?

How reliable is this family video? never used it before, and I hope it will be the same version as Amazon has.

Thanks

Something seems fishy to me. It feels like a database error i.e., they crossed up the UPC of the BD version with the price of the DVD version. Best case scenario they don't catch the error and you get the BD version for $10. Worst case: they correct the error but don't tell you and ship the DVD version. Likely scenario they catch the error and send you a cancellation notice. Personally, too many "ifs" to make it worthwhile for me since I think the odds are with the latter two scenarios.

Most fishy part is the Studio name like he said.

The new movie is New Line!

Glass half empty? It could be. Depends on whether you choose to believe the UPC or the Studio.

Same UPC at Amazon <shrugs>

Like I said, depends on whether you choose to gamble or not. I did.

Better for those of us that like hot deals. Thanks.

October 28 is the release date for the Brendan Fraser version. The classic movie is already out on DVD and does not have a Blu-Ray release scheduled.

In for one. Smoking hot deal.

This is true. The only other possibility is that it's the SD-DVD version of the Fraser movie, but the UPC and description would not indicate that.

Awesome, thanks OP! I just bought one. Worth the chance for $9.99 and I took a screen capture of my order page with the order saying that it's the bluray version.
