You're welcome. Too bad this didn't do me any good since I just renewed my membership through my work for $20 a year but ah well!

you know reason why there is no fee in elmsford?

probably because the Elmsford city council passed a law that stores cannot charge you extra to shop there.

VERY COOL

Can't pay with Visa? WTF?!?

Green for you OP. I was hoping someone would come up with one of these, we're starting to run out of the things we got this time last year.

Awesome, thanks OP! I've wanted to go to a warehouse club for a while but can't really justify buying a membership. And now since I recently moved to SC I don't have the pay the 10% fee either!

Yeah, only accepts Discover, MasterCard, ATM Card, or Cash.

Too bad I forgot my Discover, MasterCard, and Cash today, so I had to pay with ATM Card. I did bring my Visa and AMEX though...

Sweet! I'll give it a try with the discover card I got to get that free GPS.

Only original certificates will be accepted?

Earth to Sams Club...this is a PDF.

i thought the point of getting an invitation is NOT to be charged service fee.... wtf?

why bother to go to sam's uncle's club since I got Costco already? and 10% service fee? go to hexx!

You can't even go in without an invitation/membership.

dont bother inviting me then..... you can just go to costco, get a membership at the door and refund it before year's end if you like.... which i bet you won't because it's 10x much better than sam's anyway. they should just call it the warehouse where they stocked wally marts items.

I have found Sams Club here to be very comparable to Costco. And in CA we don't pay the 10% fee. I am a Costco member but I will use this because Sams club carries some things Costco does not.

These come in handy . Thx OP !

I had memberships for all 3 warehouse clubs (Costco, SAMS & BJ's)and all of them has their pros and cons. In my neck of woods SAMS has better selection most of the time which may be different for other locations.

You're kidding.....why would Costco allow you to sign up for a membership and cancel it after using for 3 months?

I used a free pass a year ago and had to answer a ton of questions at the front desk before they would let me shop (name, Social security #, birthdate, etc). Anyone know if they still require all of this? I don't like giving out my SSN like that...

Anyone know if you can buy gift cards to Sam's Club and get in the door that way? I remember a thread about ordering Costco gift cards which you could then use to make purchases (paying the rest in cash) as an inexpensive method of getting a pseudo membership.

Buy WalMart gift cards and get in using them.
10% service fee still applies.

Thanks much!

It is an election year, keep in mind... Walmart = R, Costco = D

That's a lot of money, isn't it?
No BJ at SoCal, and very few Sams.

Is this still true? or I'll just pass.

I just walk right by the sales desk and start shopping. All you need is the flyer to check-out, the rest is just to keep track of you.

Just go in and ask where the bathroom is. They won't ask for your card.

But you can't buy anything without the membership card.

Time to get the last week or so in on this

10% fee is nuts. No thanks! I'll shop closer to home without a "fee"
