Good deal, but correct your math.

For those bought this drive last week, I believe we can ask a pricematch since it is within 14 days of purchase date.

And one correction to op's post, the drive I got is a STM3500320AS. It has 32mb cache according to ST website.

Why? Hasn't been a problem for several deals in the past few months...

do you even need filler OP? the pre-coupon price is 79.99, should work with just the 25 off

no it doesn't work, sorry, i figured it would.

Staples 25 off 75 coupon says - Minimum purchase requirement of $75 must be met with purchases to which no other coupon or instant savings offer applies.

Will this work? Wanted to confirm before purchasing a 25 off 75.

Coupon has not yet been applied.

Please make sure you have met the minimum purchase requirement.

you need filler...as do I (any suggestions?)

that was the case before maxtor got bought by Seagate. Now i can safely say that they are quite reliable than any other brands that i had encountered. I'll avoid WD for instance. BTW, 3years warranty you can't go wrong with that.

Not a problem.. Just make sure it adds up to $75 before applying the $25 off coupon. It'll do it automatically. The drive is now $74.99. You'll need to add more filler..

couldn't get the 2nd price match, bump anyway:

Initial Question/Comment: Hi, I ordered a hard drive on Tuesday and now it is listed on Staples.com for $15.00 less.

10:06:40 AM StaplesCSR
Thanks for waiting, you paid $59.99 for the Maxtor you ordered.

10:09:14 AM Me
I originally paid $64.99, then received a $5.00 credit earlier this week, and now the price has dropped again, by $10.00 more, to $49.99

10:10:05 AM StaplesCSR
I understand, however, you have a $25 off $75 coupon. And if I lower the price, the coupon will not be valid.

10:11:47 AM Me
I understand somewhat, how about issuing a gift card for the difference ($10.00) since if I had waited to buy the drive today I would have been able to purchase more items at Staples?

10:12:35 AM StaplesCSR
Correct, but at the same time, you would not have been allowed to apply the $25 off $75 coupon.

10:13:25 AM Me
Sure I would, I'd just add $10+ more of Staples products to my order

10:14:10 AM StaplesCSR
If you would like me to price match this I can, however, the $25 coupon will be taken off the order and charged back to you.

10:14:42 AM Me
?? so you're offering to bill me $10.00?

10:15:15 AM StaplesCSR
No.

10:15:34 AM Me
then I'm confused

10:16:39 AM Me
receiving a credit for the price drop wasn't a problem earlier this week. why is it a problem now?

10:17:00 AM StaplesCSR
In order to use multiple coupons, you have to meet the required total. If I price match this again, you would not meet requirements. The order before coupons and instant savings was $90.47, then the coupons, etc, took off $40.00. Making your total $54.00.

10:19:23 AM Me

10:19:55 AM StaplesCSR
Honestly, the first price match was done in error.

10:22:20 AM Me
the first price match made me happy!

10:23:01 AM StaplesCSR
I have spoken with a Supervisor regarding this, and I am unable to price match. Is there anything else?

10:23:56 AM Me
understood, not a problem, have a nice day

CSR said "the $25 coupon will be taken off the order and charged back to you". Does this mean that coupon can be reused also, i.e., could you buy 2 for $75?
