You can get Cash Back on up to five eligible tickets, so buy tickets for the whole family and save up to $250!

1. Eligibility: You must have a United States PayPal account in good standing and be a Northwest Airlines WorldPerks® member in the U.S. 50 to be eligible. If you are not a WorldPerks member, enroll online or call 1-800-225-2525 to become a member and receive your account number. There is no cost to join the Northwest Airlines WorldPerks® program.
2. Offer Description: Eligible customers will receive a $50 USD rebate to their PayPal Account with a minimum Northwest Airlines ticket purchase of $250 USD or more (including taxes and fees) at nwa.com using their PayPal account from September 29, 2008 through October 13, 2008 for travel between November 15, 2008 and January 31, 2009.
3. Eligible Purchase: You must use your PayPal account to make a single payment purchasing Northwest Airlines ticket(s) for at least $250 USD (including taxes and fees) at www.nwa.com during the offer period. Tickets must be purchased in the United States and at nwa.com only. Limit: $50 rebate is valid on the first five eligible tickets purchased on nwa.com using PayPal as the payment method.
4. Offer Period: Offer starts on September 29, 2008 and ends on October 13, 2008 at 11:59 pm Pacific Time.
5. Cash Back Payment: Please allow a maximum of 6-8 weeks following the completion of travel for the rebate to be deposited in your PayPal account.
6. Excluded Transactions: The following transactions are excluded from this offer: PayPal Mobile transactions, Send Money transactions, payments using the PayPal Plug-In (formerly named: Virtual Debit Card) service, PayPal Debit Card payments, payments made when you are not logged into your PayPal account, and PayPal Plus Credit Card or eBay MasterCard payments not made through your PayPal account. If the payment is refunded or cancelled at any time, you are not eligible for the promotion. If the payment is refunded after you receive the rebate, PayPal will deduct the rebate amount from your account.
7. Restrictions: PayPal reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify part or this entire offer at any time without notice, for any reason in its sole discretion. This offer cannot be resold, transferred or combined with any other offer, discount, or promotion.

Thanks OP. I would totally jump on this if NWA flights out of JFK/EWR didn't suck.

I flew out of LaGuardia on NWA and it was smooth sailing...JFK no idea though.
