Eagerly anticipating the OOS-at-every-store toothbrushes

I just got some stuff free and heavily discounted stuff because the CVS worker was so kind. It was the best customer service I have ever had. I was checking out and the lady ringing me up was like, "You know you can get a large bottle of dishwashing detergent for .99".. and I said, "no". So she said, "let me show you". I picked up two detergents and then she proceeded to walk me through the store and show me all of the free stuff.. and heavily discounted stuff (with extra bucks).

Then she said, let me ring up the stuff you will get extra bucks back with first. Then we will do a second transaction and you can pay for those purchases with the coupon. I've never had someone offer that to me.. Nobody was behind me so I took her up on it. (I *hate* delaying other people.. I would have declined if anyone was behind me).

Anyway, it was a great experience..

i had a very similar customer service experience once too. i made sure to get her full name, as well as the manager's name who was also extremely helpful. got the CVS 800 number from the manager and called to give positive feedback for them both. not sure if that helps them at all, but i wanted to make sure their hard work was formally recognized in some way.

The store I got mine at did not have signs but they rang up at 99c and generated ECB. The first store I went to (at 10:45) was out of them, which seemed really strange since the next one had dozens left.

It's not weird, stores frequently don't put sale signs out on the shelf. Last week Rite Aid had 30 items on sale & free after rebate, but at my Rite Aid they didn't have any sale signs or rebate signs in front of any of the 30 products.

powerade rang up $1 instead of $1.69 and didn't print ECB. Store manager just gave me a refund. Anyone else have that happen?
