Cheaper than many new cellphone for under $300 but not ATOM kinda make the deal warm only.

EEEPC900-W017
EEEPC900-W012X
EEEPC900-BK010X

Eee 900 with Win Xp if you prefer it for 333.49 AR

Yes, they've actually released a multitude of new models (mostly with the newer Atom chip) and I would guess this rebate is to help them get rid of some of the Celeron-based ones.

Agreed, depends on what you need. If you're expecting hours of battery life and playing Crysis on it, then you'll be unhappy. If you want a small, inexpensive machine for basic tasks, then most people seem satisfied.

My mom is looking for something to just use for internet and email and being able to print from it. Do you think this is going to be the cheapest option just for internet use. I have always used Macs so I was originally thinking a mac mini, but she doesn't really need that much of a computer.

Did they change the price? I see it's $417 before the rebate, $352 AR.
I would certainly buy it for under $300 AR.
