65" DLP is $1,399 with FREE shipping. Just saw the 73" for $1,999, s/h extra. This TV would be good if you can go without those extra 8". I know my girlfriend can't. Link to 65" TV.

FYI, if you want the matching stand, Electronics-Expo seems to have the best price $239.88, well below the $399 MSRP.

They (Electronics-Expo) also have what I believe is the previous 65735 model (or is it one model up?). As an owner, I can state that it has an amazing picture! VERY large set, bright picture, amazing white and black levels. Is the 65C8 the same/better model?

Good deal on a huge TV. Be warned it has no clear Quam tuner.

I had a Mitsubishi 65" DLP . I can tell you they go through lamps like they are out of style.

QAM is the way digital channels are encoded for digital cable.
This let you see DTV and HDTV on your basic cable package if you have any, just by plugging the cable into the TV (no decoder box needed).
If you pay for premium digital cables and have a cable box, this is of no use to you (except if you want to reduce your cable subscription).

Problem with QAM is that cable COs change the line up semi frequently, depending on location.

You can get a 61" Sammy DLP LED (no bulbs) with good reviews for just a few hundred more. Basically after one or two bulb replacements you'll be at this price.

Not meaning to thread crap, but DLP is a great technology with a few black eyes, and since bulbs are one of the biggest problems, I'd like to see these bulb TVs just go away without any more harm to DLP's rep.

Also a repost it seems:

Thanks for clearing that up for us.
