I want to charge Staples $29 to take this crap from them and dispose appropriately.

Vista has the drivers for them, but anything after that is old beta drivers. nVidia does not support the GeForce 5 and below for Vista anymore.

For TV-Out, you will have to used hacked drivers in order for it to work right in Vista.

Actually I agreed with that. Everyone should be able to afford at least either a old end 6x or 7x series. Or a Radon X1x00.

I think that I might buy this one for one of my old computer (Dell Dimension 3000 Desktop which is still runing strong with Windows XP but only has PCI slot available) to play some old games like Call of Duty 2. All the PCI cards that I can find are a lot more expensive than this one. Green for OP, thanks.

For Call of Duty, you'd be much better off buying an old PCI NVidia Ti 4200 card. The 5200 lies somewhere between a Ti 200 and Ti 300 card. Check out eBay. There are a couple there for the same price range.

To the OP: You're kidding, right?

Before I read the price on this deal I was thinking it better be "make money after rebate"

For what it is the price is a good price for a 256mb memory graphics card. If your choice is this or an ATI 8mb Rage or Intel D-Sub graphics built in a Server MB, this is a good deal. The quality server boards come with SCSI, PCI and PCI-X slots and a onboard graphics chip; no PCI-E or AGP slots. PCI graphics cards of any quality are hard to find, Hell of a note when a $1200 MB comes with garbage graphics but that is the way it is.

To what end are you going to stop shilling for AMD/ATI products? You revealed yourself to be a AMD/ATI company man/shiller when you think a FX5200 card is currently worth $25, and is a good deal.

I have a couple of EVGA brand FX5200 cards from Fry's that were FAR. At first I thought they were better than the PNY brand card from Staples because it had a much bigger heatsink and capacitors that were each about twice as large and seemed to be the solid type, not the wet type. But those capacitors turned out to be both wet and junk, and most of them exploded (picture. OTOH nothing like that happened on the PNY card, probably because the capacitors were Sanyo brand.

ok, so is everyone sure that a PCI (NOT PCI-e) card isn't worth $29? Just curious if that makes a difference? Yes, the fry's PCI-E low end cards are often FAR (+ shipping), but i'm not sure i've seen a FAR PCI (not PCI-e) lately? Of course, the detailed description talks about "AGP 8X", but the picture shows PCI, so....
