I was in the market for a TV and this popped up on my local Fry's Ad. This is super HOT!!! like seriously I needed a TV and i went to go pick this baby up today, for $677 brand new you really can't beat the price. This is YMMV for you people who don't have Fry's near you. Well, Good luck picking one of these up before they all disappear.

Is this for ANY frys or just the RENTON frys? The ad says "Renton" but OP wrote "for those who don't have a fry's near you.

This is a really hot deal considering they are $300 or more everywhere else. I can't even see a decent 2nd price ANYWHERE...if someone can find one plz post it.

I called a local frys and they said their price is $677 on sale....don't know why the ad is specific to ONLY a few FRYS but the one near me that isn't on the ad does have it and i'm gonna grab 1 as they have great ratings!

The ad is also in Wilsonville, OR. So i'm guessing most if not all Fry's.

This is on Friday's Fry's weekly Ads and the price is good until next Tuesday.

Price is confirmed at: $677 plus tax.

Is this a good deal every one.

I bought on yesterday at Fry's local store in Southwest Houston, Texas. They still have plenty instock.

I have 4 bigscreen TVs (60" Pioneeer Elite Plasma, 50" Samsung Plastma, 42" Panasonic Plasma and 1 Sony 60" LCD Projection!!!) in my house already but because of Deal Diesease so I bought this one also. Don't know if it is a right decision or not since Black Fridays is comming soon and maybe have better deal than this one. Plan to use it as a computer monitor as well beside as a TV but kind of big for a monitor. I will test to see if DVI to HDMI have good resolution output to this monitor since it only has HDMI and VGA output (for computer).

Anyway, I have 30 days return to make up my mind to keep it or not.

The review for this TV is okay. Not so good and not so bad.

I see few 37" TV 1080p sitting next to this one onsale for $799.99 plus tax but they are better brand such as: Sony, Samsung, Panasonic and Sharp.

I don't see much Toshiba Brand in the store. Sony , Panasonic, Samsung, and Sharp have the most in most electronics store and not Toshiba.

What do you guys think about this deal.

Went and bought one for 697. Personally if you are worried about the Toshiba brand, buy the Fry's performance guarantee warranty (I did). Its protected for 5 years and they will just swap out a new one if it has any problems.

I always buy the warranty - it has come in handy a few times and well worth it.

I bought one in Wilsonville, Oregon yesterday. Paid $697.
They sold five yesterday and I got the last one in stock.

I asked two different sales persons to match the price $667 at other stores, but they both said that the price in OR is higher because there is no sales tax here.

Is that an ethical business practice? We don’t pay sales tax here so fry’s increase the price. That means we still pay the ‘tax’ to fry’s?

The sales person convinced me to buy 5 yrs purchase service contract (PSC) for $99. I bought it but I am thinking about canceling it in 30 days. I did research online and found that the sales people get 15% bonus from the PSC. I am not sure if $99 really worth it. Toshiba is a good Japanese brand so I believe the quality should be good.

I think I got the first one..I also bought the warranty. The price is back up to 899, at least the other day I was there. IMHO, the 99 is well worth it. Heck anything can go wrong (5 years is a long time), I rather pay 99 now than forking out another grand in 5 years for a TV. Fry's usually does a straight up exchange if they can't fix it - that's a good thing!
