Why fool around with these cheesy GPS units when you can buy a factory refurbished Garmin 2720 on Amazon for $140? The Garmin factory refurbished units are just like new and Garmin will send you the latest map database for free if the unit doesn't have it already installed. The 2720 Streetpilot is a true professional quality unit and is much better than the newer Nuvi series. It doesn't have all the Bluetooth, MP3, etc. frills but who cares?

Because this cheesy GPS is really a PDA running Windows CE and you can hack it and use it to surf the internet, send email via USB cable or wirelessly by adding a wifi SD card, add other Windows CE programs, too.
How's your Garmin for surfing while at a hotspot?

Don't be so presumptuous - I do care about the frills. I'm happily using my Mio C320 as a PDA, media player and GPS. All I needed was a $36 16GB SDHC card.
Green for you OP! That's about the same price as I got mine a few weeks ago.
Or if you haven't already made 6 purchases, use livesearch and get it from eBay. Should come out to around 205x0.7=143.50 shipped

Dang it, Rick Rolled, sort of ![]()
beware of old maps. I purchased 1 last deal from BB and found maps was 2006. It would cost another $70 to get an update.

I can't use the bluetooth with my cell phone while running Miopocket. Any suggestions?
Missed this deal last time, and had some reward certificates that were gonna expire, so thanks OP!!!

it's a good gps but I like my Garmin 3600 better. just because it is an actual PDA and it have hardware buttons.
and I can easily switch throuhg maps,mp3, apps and do most things fast.
with the C520 it's a pain with the touch screen. it takes more press and longer to do. and dangerous when in the road.
anyone with the unit tell me it's not a PITA to switch songs in the mp3 player while navigating.
Don't get me wrong the C520 have good navigation with it's high res screen, bigger screen and nice stuff like SIRF/Bluetooth.
Miopocket is pretty good but other than the better video player the rest I find not much use.
but interms of interface and usefulness I like my garmin Ique 3600. the map data display I feel is better and more informative/useful. now if garmin release an updated Ique with SIRF and TExt to Speech I would be in heaven.
I bougth the C520 hoping to replace my garmin because it have sirf/text to speech. but ultimiately after using it for half a day. I decide to keep garmin. I have an awesome setup config with it where I can access everything fast and quick driving. the C520 just can't compare.
even though the C520 have a 400mhz cpu and the Ique have a 200mhz cpu the garmin feels very responsive and does things faster
I missed the C520 last time and got the C320. I love my C320 with "update features".
What is the version of the maps that come with this unit? What is the latest version of the maps for this unit?
