Saw the same thing at my local Target, but I got an XTi for less a week ago. Hope the telephoto lens goes on clearance -- I need a disposable one.
I just bought the XT in Target. The sticker price was $349.99 but it was the last one - and he gave me a 30% off. So, OTD was about $262.00. Pretty good deal!! Thanks for the heads up!

Is this a good DSLR? I'm looking at getting one of these and really would like to use my 30% eBay CB for one too. I would rather get a Nikon but if this Canon is good I may head to target in the morning and pick this up. And so I don't fully hijack this thread, can someone point me to a good site that compares DSLR's so I know what I should be looking for! Thanks

Same with me, it was a display, but it didn't come with a battery, and it was never turned on before, so it was a good deal, I love the camera. I also purchased the three year warranty for $30, plus a battery. Another bonus, mine came with a 1gb card instead of the 512mb one is was supposed to come with, I think someone switched the Nikon card and the Canon one, oh well. So total I payed around $310 for everything. Good deal.

Those of you who found this.. can buy the XTi starter kit (battery, lowepro bag,uv filter) for $19 on clearance at BB. The Best Buy SKU for this kit is 8788831. My local store had them for $17.99 and according to the back of the battery, the battery is compatible with the S30, S40, S45, S50, S55, S60, S70, S80, G7 and G9 as well as the XT and XTi.
3 available @ Best Buy in Pasadena for $19.99. Went to the camera dept., had guy behind counter check sku for stock, when it came up he started to walk away to grab one for me, then did a double-take, went back to the register and looked at the price again and said "WOW"...lol. Regular price $119. The bag alone w/out the starter kit isn't on clearance and sells for $79.99!
What exact Lowepro bag is it? The Slingshot 200AW? 100AW? Or not a slingshot? If it's the slingshot, that's a HECK of a deal

Where did you get XTi for less? Less than $350 (with lens)?
I found it for $249.99, open box, at Target in Matthews (Charlotte), NC. Not wanting an open-box unit, I went across the street to Circuit City whom called Target to verify price and matched it + 10% to make it $249.88 out the door after tax.
There are several more locations in Charlotte with the unit for $349.99 - Albermarle, Midtown, South Blvd, Weddington (Monroe) and a few more that I cannot remember off-hand.
Great deal....we're looking for a smaller walk-about camera...was thinking of a G10, but at this price, it would be worth it to get a DSLR instead. Photos will be better; we'd just have to deal with the size.
dammit. Looks like I'm going to target today. I dunno why I waste my time; central tx always has really high clearance

I just bought one this morning at Target in east Tucson, AZ. It was the floor display but he said he just put it out the day before because they found it in the back (after selling the previous display). So I got it for $174.99 ($249.98 - 30%).
