Another mac hater. for most, the 8gb or 16 gb ITouch model is plenty of space and is less than $300. There is always cheaper alternatives if life but I've been there done that and there is only one Apple. Expensive? Depends on your needs and what you can afford. All I can say is since I switched from windows to a Apple OS replacing my older 12" iBook ( I bought Used 3 years ago ) with a beautiful, fast 2.4ghz macbook for $1220. delivered, I will never complain about the price. IMO, good customer service is worth paying for in a Country where it has disappeared. Apples products just work well and they stand behind all of them. Their laptops are loaded with everything you could possibly want without all the junk. If You shop around there are many very good websites that sell aftermarket accessories like extra batteries because yes, Apple does charge a lot for their accessories. Apple products are not for everyone but the New ITouch is the greatest gadget this 58 year old grown kid ever bought. Surfing the Web and Checking Your E Mail wirelessly with a built in speaker? Fantastic! Many experts believe Pioneer makes the best Plasma TV sets but few can afford them since they cost at least 3-4 times what a Warehouse Vizio Set will cost You. IMO It is what you are willing to pay and I don't care about Steve Jobs or Bill Gates bank accounts. I Like quality products that work and are well designed. The Zune and horrible Rhapsody is not my cup of tea. As for this WalMart deal, I would pass like another poster said. Amazon is the way to go. Cheaper, Free shipping & no sales tax.
To have a good ipod mp3 player on a budget buy an Ipod Mini in eBay for around $25-30. Buy a new battery for $10 and a 16GB ($40) or 32GB ($80) Compact Flash Card. Open your mini and upgrade it, all for less than $100...

or just buy a refurb iPod Nano 3rd gen for $79 (4GB) or $99 (8GB). With warranty and video. And if you can find a new/refurb 2nd gen, even better.
Wow Tomdox you don't get out much do you? Yes I hate apple with an extreem passion that's why I posted the deal just so other apple hatahs out there could be mezmorized by THE MAN's crushing blows on the American economy. Oh, I'm sorry, could you not see my facetious hat from your computer screen, or were you too busy rambling off, putting on your hoodie, standing up, and proudly declaring,"I'm a mac!"
Personally I thought it was a good deal, I happened upon it looking at Wally world's clearance section. I think the itouch is very cool albeit it is not the best thing out there since you seem to be in love with Plasma TV sets as well. (snicker, snicker)
