I got the 9mm earlier this year at Vances (http://www.vancesshooterssupplies.com/flyer/flyer.pdf) for $299, and THEN they had a $50 MIR that also included to extra magazines. Doubt you'll see a deal like this again.

Oh, they have it for $319 right now, so that beats this deal

I got my .40 Sigma for $299 at my local gun shop. Check out your LGS to see if they have it for that price then you can send in the $50 rebate.

Its a decent deal for a semi-auto pistol however, Sigmas aren't very good weapons. In fact it was one of the only Smith and Wessons that was expressly prohibited from carry at the
police departments I've worked for. I guess if you are choosing between a Sigma and a Hi-Point, go with the Sigma.

While I do not dispute anything that you said ...
The first and second generation Sigma pistols had a rocky start and developed a bad rep due to a few design flaws, and were somewhat notorious for breaking their firing pin. They copied the Glock pistol so closely that the slides could fit on either pistol, and several people derisively refered to the Sigma as a "SWOCK". Eventually S&W had to pay an undisclosed amount to Glock for copyright infringements. The current 3rd generation Sigma is a good value for the money, most of the problems have been corrected with the only real criticism remaining is the trigger pull is both a bit heavy and sproingy at the same time, and takes practice to get use to. S&W has a lifetime warranty and continues to sell them, if they were as bad as the internet gun snobs would want you to believe, they would have been dropped from production long ago. It's sold as a $300 range budget gun, so comparing it to the Glock, Springfield XD, or the newer Smith and Wesson M&P is like comparing a Hyundai accent to a Toyota camary or Honda accord and then complaining it's not as refined. For what it's worth, I owned a 2nd generation Sigma 40cal., had three striker breaks in less than 2000 rounds, S&W replaced it for free with the newest 3rd generation Sigma, since then I've probably shot in excess of 6,000 rounds without any malfunctions. While it's not my favorite pistol, it's quite adequate for what I expect of it.

Very happy with the 9mm that I bought a few months ago at Gander. At that time it was $50 rebate and 2 spare mags by mail. Too bad I live in NY and got the 10 rounders. Good gun, fairly accurate, very heavy trigger pull.

Check the Gander CC promos if you don't have one of thier cards. At the time I got mine I ended up with a 5% discount and a $25 coupon by mail.

Buds Gun Shop has been selling this item for many months at $289 delivered. After rebate your net cost is $239. You will need to find a local FFL and pay them $10 - $25 to process the transfer. Bud's is a pleasure to deal with and they almost always have the best delivered price

$349 for a Sigma is not a sale or a deal. They range from $299 to $329 everyday price at most of my local sporting goods stores and gun shops. As another poster already mentioned, Buds Gun Shop has been selling them for $289 for quite a while now.

Thanks for the tip. Supposedly they had it for $269 at some point (this spring?). Think they will again before the rebate expires?

Is it possible to put laser sights on one of these?

Also what's the best way to find a FFL? Just look in the YP and start calling around? Don't they give you a hard time since you didn't buy it from them?
