This one sucks pretty bad at picking up satellites. Takes a while in FL, and in NYC, couldn't pick up ANYTHING at all. Tried and tried...
I think I might have the C230 though. For this price, it's a decent "toy".
Just an FYI about these MIO GPS units. I got in on a deal a while ago on a 320, and it is far inferior to a garmin, etc. Even hacked the POI's that they have are very limited, and the routing is more than buggy. A great deal at 80 bucks though. Don't rely on it to find a restaurant while in a unfamiliar city though!

THAT'S why Mio GPS units are one of the most popular, because they're VERY easy to "hack" and will run any GPS software you want. I was running iGO MyWay 2006 until iGO8 was released; my buddy was running TomTom6, but also switched to iGO8.

I don't know what stuff you added to your MIO unit, but there is a version (MioMap 3.3) out there that has 12 millions POI. I believe the Gramin only has 6 M or so POI.
I have not used this one, but all of them have this problem
of picking up satellites after a real lag if they are moved when they are
turned off. I have seen this with my Mio c310x, tomtom and garmin too.
It is as if there is an internal list of satellites available, if we move
it try’s to connect to the same ones in the list, eventually gives up
and then has to rebuild the list before it can start using the signal.

This is a total PERSONAL OPINION, so read at your own risk...
I've used this unit extensively, along w/ Garmins, TomTom's, other Mio's, Sony's, Eclipse, & Magellan.
Mio has one of the worst interfaces, slow auto-reroutes (if you pass the street/intersection), and is just cheaply made.
Thats why CC was giving these away on Black Friday for like $50...
Get a Garmin, even a TomTom...just stay away from these. They really are a "toy".
Anyways, theres always posts on the forums for $100 Garmin NUVI's. This is a great deal...
