Effective Sept 1(?), they stopped doing price adjustment.
Ah, thank you for that (disappointing) news--you are correct. I should have been reading FW more avidly!!
wow, that's a real shock to me! ![]()
Its a Samsung Touch Of Color T260HD 26-inch LCD HDTV Monitor.
For those who care, some quick research shows that this is likely a TN (Twisted Nematic) type LCD panel.
OP, could you please add "LCD HDTV" to your title? Not everyone has all of the model numbers of all of the manufacturers memorized and a search for LCD's or HDTV's will not pull up your post. Thank you.
fwcash--i think you are mistaken. i see you use 3deals.com for price tracking? The "history low" of $469 included the $30 rebate off of $499. If 3deals were more wise, it would recognize that the new "history low" is in fact $459, which is made sweeter by BML, hence why this deal is relatively hot. Rather than relying on another website, I have been personally tracking this price (yes, a waste of time, I realize).
For all those who already have this, how do you like this picture quality?
I think it's amazing for HDTV, PC use, and also xbox (original) over component. I am not great at calibrating though, so I wish I had a more knowledgeable person's settings. At times the TV picture looks a bit cool/blue, and I've played with changing that but run into over-saturating reds . . .
One advantage of having a 16:10 ratio is that while 16:9 is a little more squished (with bars on top and bottom), 4:3 is a bit larger (fills top to bottom, smaller [proportionally] sidebars). Of course, there is a setting to fill the screen for either aspect ration, and the difference between 16:9 and 16:10 is obvious only to discerning eyes.
