too close to the price of a 9500/9600GT. Why wouldn't you pay a little more for a 9500/9600GT

Interesting, the 9600GT only has 64 SPUs, compared to the 96 the GSO has. But the 9600GT has a higher core clock, memory clock, and a higher memory bus, so I would still go with the 9600GT over this GSO.

GSO is quieter for those needing a card for a mediacenter PC.

If it's for a mediacenter than you don't even need a GSO. You can get cheaper and fanless.
