BIG YMMV. In the 3 Targets I've been to in CT they are over $100 still. Depends on location. Every store is different.

Resolution of the screen?
The problem with these cheap Magnavox DVD players is the low resolution paired with the large screen means LOTS of pixelation.
Crap! they seem to be all out in the store i previously saw it in. O well.
YMMV. How likely is it to be on clearance? Few stores? Many stores? Discretion of the manager?

Nothing "HUUUUUUUUUUGE YMMV" about it; they were on clearance in every Chicagoland Target today, and judging by the number of them on eBay, it was pretty much a nationwide deal.
Target did a massive electronics clearance today, and the stores I visited had the same things, all at the same clearance price. They are making room for what they consider to be hot sellers for Christmas. FWIW; it is a very nice player actually, and the screen has a surprisingly high resolution. Of course, no iPod dock, SD slot or divx support, but still a nice cheap player.
In the accessories aisle, you'll also find a Philips branded bag for the player that can be mounted on a headrest, sells on clearance for $6.95, (THAT one is YMMV as I did not see it anywhere else at that price).
They had em at my store in Casselberry, FL.... but somebody showed up and bought them out b4 I got there along with the dual 7" ones...
... greedy bastards...
