This Hard drive has a very bad design, base gets extremly hot, it is difficult to turn on and off(odd switch), you cannot stack it. USB and esata cable get loose from the conectors very easily. I do not recommend it.

Are you referring to the freeAgent pro model? I have a regular freeAgent and it doesn't even have a power switch like my pro has, and I use the seagate software to power it down when not in use and the base barely gets warm to the touch.
