Just saw this on my local paper's website. Linens & Things is closing all stores starting next week. There could be some very hot deals, although I for one am disappointed. LNT was less crowded and tended to have better stock and customer service than Bed Bath & Beyond.
Should be some very good liquidation deals!

I got a 20% off note in my e-mail today.
I'd say ANightShopper fits into the maroon catagory after the useless waste of bandwidth posted by them above.
I went to Linens N Thing today and spoke to a sales person. She said they don't know anything yet about closing all stores until Wednesday October 15,2008.
Two stores in my area are already being clearanced. After almost two months, still nothing over 40% and then only 20% on the good stuff.

Thank you tremendously for the heads up. I just got a LNT gc in the mail that I'd redeemed cc points for. I called my local LNT store & they reported that they're still taking coupons & gift cards. I don't need anything imminently, so I just listed this gc on eBay for a 24 hour auction. Thanks again everyone!
My brother is a manger of one of the stores in Calif , and he just got the "offical" notice (and his future walking papers 
) that all stores will be gone in two months .
Also I dont know how many store will have any closeout deals from LNT , as there is already clearance houses doing bids on all LNT stock , but this maybe a ymmv thing .
My experience at LNT today (Wednesday 15 Oct)
Big sign on door: "No longer accepting LNT credit cards or credit card vouchers".
Chatted with manager, who said he suspects stores will begin liquidation 16 October. At that time, no more use of gift cards or coupons. No more merchandise returns.
If you've got gift cards or returns, I'd go TODAY.

be careful you don't get a chargeback if that GC is worthless to the buyer come tomorrow as the bankruptcy was announced before you listed it.
