Got the same fax machine from Staples couple months ago. Awesome fax machine actually. Speed is pretty fast and pretty large paper tray. Toner lasts, almost forever.

The rebate came in about 2 month but worth the wait.

Not a bad price! Green for OP! Too bad there's tax in CA though...

I have a couple L170's in use for over a year now, and they've held up well under business conditions. Average faxing for us is around 5,000 pages per year. Perhaps it's time I bought a spare...

Mine has reported a "paper jam" few times in the past year, but I found that it's not really a "jamming" issue. My fax machine seems to have some trouble "picking-up" the paper from the paper tray SOMETIMES (not every time) when the paper tray gets really low, and when this happens the fax machine reports it as a "paper jam". (My office may use "slicker" multipurpose paper than most, which may contribute to the problem.) So now someone tops off the paper tray every week and there's been no jamming issue. I imagine if you used a thicker paper than 20lbs, or a higher quality paper, then it shouldn't have this issue. (Even if you do get this error, all you have to do is open-and-close the front panel of the fax machine and that clears the error.) I don't know if this was what the reviewers meant in their reviews, but it's the only issue I've come across so far...
