I bought one of these last time and LOVE it for our rooms with carpet. Hate it on hardwoods / tiled floor.

Edit: Just realized this isn't the "whole package" that I got before, so no charger (just a power cord... which might be easier if you don't schedule yours".

Are you sure this has the home base? It's a great price and I appreciate the post. Just want to be certain on what it comes with. I see on the page it lists "power supply" but nothing about the base.

From having a Roomba I can say the base isn't necessary, but convenient. At $99 its probably worth it without.

Edit: This shows a one year warranty which is a HUGE plus on a remanufactured model. I thought most only had 3 months. To be safe save a PDF of the page if you end up buying.

I changed my post saying I don't think it does. Nice catch.

the remanufactured roomba i bought worked great. but after about half a dozen uses, the battery doesn't hold a charge anymore. so you might want to factor in the cost of a new battery ($50) in case this comes with a used one that doesn't last very long.

where did you get your new battery from? I think i have the same problem with mine.

What are the improvements over the 400 model? Google isn't coming up with much.
