FYI - While they don't advertise it, The Speaker Company is actually owned by the same company that owns Denon, Marantz, etc.. They aren't some white van company, and their speakers are generally reviewed pretty favorably (at least for the higher end stuff)

Very nice thank you.

Gotta love the Frequency ratings, the MS21.5 is rated down to 25HZ (what they don't tell you is that it's 25HZ +\-25dB)

I ordered a pair of the MS21.3 yesterday afternoon. They came with free standard shipping. The box arrived today! I won't know how they sound until I get home tonight. They were packed VERY well for shipping.

Any updates on the sound quality yet?

The sound was OK. Not terrible, not fantastic either.

I'm not one that knows much about speakers/audio, so I'm basically comparing them to the Creative T3000 2.1 speakers I already have. I paid around $30 for them a couple years ago and I think they sound amazing. I can crank them up loud when I need to and the bass is plentiful. I was hoping to find something similar to use with my iPod outside during BBQs without having to unhook my Creative speakers from my PC.

The TSC MS21.3 satellite speakers sounded a bit tinny to my untrained ears. They also felt cheap, especially compared to my Creatives. The TSC speakers are very light, all plastic. If you breathed on them too hard they might fall over.

The sub-woofer on the MS21.3 is too large to be portable yet produced only a minimum amount of bass. The on/off/volume knob is on the sub-woofer, so if you plan to hide the sub under a desk, these aren't for you.

Bottom Link: Would recommend for people that are using the basic speakers that come with their PC since these are surely better than those. Since they offer free return shipping, I'm going to return them and try to find something else for what I need.

Can anyone give some real-world experience on the difference between the 21.4 and 21.5? I don't need the wired remote so I'm more concerned about sound quality and speaker/subwoofer size. The size of the 21.5 is listed on the website but the 21.4 is not. Also, since the 21.5 costs more (at regular price) I would assume they are better speakers, but the 21.4 seems to have a wider frequency range.

I know the difference is only $2, and at under $20 I'm not expecting great speakers, just looking for some user input.

MS 21.5 dimensions:
subwoofer 12.5"d x 12"h x 5"w
speakers 4.5"d x 15"h x 5"w

which set of the 2.1's sounds the best (or has a better subwoofer)

I went with 21.4 because of the Line-In in the remote. This makes easier to connect MP3 players. I am planning to use this in Kitchen so I don't need to reach behind the subwoofer everytime I change the MP3 players.

Thanks OP, I just opened and hooked them up to my sons Laptop. I got the MS21.5's, well packaged and I like the sound. For $17.99 and free shipping, really hard to complain. I'm not an audiophile, but these speakers are more than adequate, they will make great deck and work room speakers. Yes, the towers are a bit light weight, I was surprised by the sub though. it put out some decent bass, great for a PC hookup..

Thanks Again...
