Stacks with 20% CB??? If so....might bite on a tx2500z notebook

They increased their price a lot because of live CB. Even with 20%CB and 30% off, the price (around $700) is still much higher than a few month ago.

But you end up with a tx2000z. nicely loaded for around $650 after CB w a free (cheap) printer. Not bad

I used live Cash Back on the last HP deal and MS F%&^#D me. The CashBack never showed up so I emailed them my order info and they emailed me back the next day saying that I will notbe receiving the Cash Back for the purchase because a coupon for HP was used and they cannot be combined and it is in their terms for Cash Back. The anmount was something like $120 that I was due back. Nazi bastards

just exactly how are they nazi bastards? their terms clearly state that the use of a coupon invalidates CashBack...you used a coupon, didnt you??

the nerve of some people who think they are entitled to the coupon and Cash Back...sheesh...

Looks like a good deal for anyone interested in a cablecard ready PC. You still have to pay a real premium for these guys typically. I just pulled the trigger on the config below with the $400 off coupon. Brought the price down to $810+ tax with free shipping. Expensive for a PC, (relatively) cheap for a cablecard PC. Looking forward to returning my cable company's Motorola set top box and saving about $30/mo in set top box rental ($15 x 2)

HP Pavilion Elite m9400t customizable Desktop PC
Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1 for digital cable tuner (64-bit)
Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Quad processor Q6600 (2.4GHz)
2GB DDR2-800MHz dual channel SDRAM (2x1024)
512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9500GS, DVI-I, VGA, HDMI
320GB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive
No additional (Ethernet LAN port on system board)
LightScribe 16X max. DVD+/-R/RW SuperMulti drive
15-in-1 memory card reader, 2 USB, 1394, audio, video (for TV Tuner)
ATI TV Wonder external digital cable tuner + internal TV tuner
None (Integrated 7.1 channel sound w/ front audio ports)
Microsoft(R) Works 9.0
Norton Internet Security(TM) 2008 - 15 month
HP keyboard and HP optical mouse
HP Home & Home Office Store in-box envelope

Green for you mastavic!

(and I will be trying for 20% CashBack, 5% Discover and 3% FW btw. I'll get one or more with a couple phone calls )

Don't forget FW 3% Cash-Back. Got $31 on my last transaction. Not much but it helped take some of the sting out of the tax.

I don't have a problem with that...

It is the cryin, moanin and calling companies 'nazi bastards' when they enforce the policies that have been clearly spelled out that brings out how pathethic some people can be...

Exactly. I won't be cryin, moanin or calling anyone 'nazi bastards' So far I have 3% from FW ($24.30) and 5% from Discover confirmed ($40.50). So my price is down to $775 so far. Must admit the 20% Live CB is looking like a long shot. Will report back here if I get it

Save yourself some more by going with the Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor P7350 instead. It is good enough for most users and the upgrade isn't really worth the cost:
