Amazon has the Seagate 1.5 TB Barracuda Sata 7200 RPM 32MB Hard Drive for $182 with free shipping.
Just bought a 1T but I had to bite. It's not even Christmas and my wallet is crying.

isn't this still a bit pricey?
I guess if hard drive space is concerned this would make sense (having only 2 or 3 bays for hdd)
But if you've got a mid tower case would buying 2 1tb drives come out to a little bit more than this?
12.1 cents a gig. 1TB would be $121 at that price. Seems fairly on par. Cheaper than the 1T I bought 3 months ago for sure.
The reviews on Amazon point out big problems with this drive. Read them before purchasing.
If you have an Infrant(Netgear) ReadyNAS, don't bother with these drives yet. This is straight from their Hardware Compatibility List
Seagate ST31500341AS 1.5TB Barracuda 7200.11 - At this time the Seagate 1.5TB AS drives are being removed from the compatibility list. There appears to be a possible problem with streaming from these drives when write cache is enabled. We are working with Seagate to resolve this issue as soon as we can.
Do you think, this will be a problem with all NAS or just Netgear? I'm thinking of ordering it for my HP Media Vault mv2100
