Kinda bitter after that episode. Newegg can suck it for a while.

No point in advertising a Shell Shocker if you're only selling two of them.

lets all trash talk Newegg for selling a great product at a great price... oh and also with free shipping.

Any regular fw member should now that the hottest deals go fast... very fast. lucky for us these deals are not quite as hot, so they might last a little longer

True....and I'm not mad that the SD cards went OOS...but $15 off a hard drive. Hardly shocking.

I used to love Newegg, before I moved to CA, now I double check everything on TigerDirect as it often comes out to be cheaper since they don't charge CA tax....I think Newegg should start paying CA tax on customer's behalf...RitzCamera already does that....ah well atleast 3 days delivery now means 1 day if its shipping from Cerritos....

it would have been nice if it were a WD10EADS

$115 w/out rebate for a WD GP 1TB drive is a pretty good deal. Unless you have to pay tax on it. I paid $112 for one of these ripped from a Fantom USB 1TB external drive, but that's with the hassle of a $20 rebate.

And yeah the WD10EADS would be sweeet at this price, but alas it's price gouging for now.

Newegg is getting like Dell with these cancellation e-mails. I'm done with them.

With the rate the price is dropping on these 1TB drives, I would not be surprised to see the price drops below $100 in a few weeks. As with any hi tech items, do not buy unless you really have a need for it; otherwise, it will just sit there and depreciate.

The greens are slow. They're marketed as being "green" because in a green-crazed world that sells beter than if they were simply called "5400 rpm".

It is true that TigerDirect has no tax in CA. The problem is that most of their sales and promotions really aren't that great of a deal, and they usually charge shipping. I totally disagree, and I have lived in CA all my life. 95% of the time you will pay more "out-the-door" at TigerDirect. It would be nice if Newegg paid the tax, but then again, they are based in CA, a state that is very expensive to do business in. You can't possibly expect such good daily deals and promotions, and have your sales tax paid also. That is just too unrealistic.

Newegg's no backorder policy is BS. They are the largest tech e-tailer on the web. They'll probably get more 8GB cards from Crucial on Monday; why not fill the orders then? I wouldn't mind.
