We regret to inform you that your request for the free Gift Card has been denied for one of the following reasons: 1)The unique packaging serial number is not a valid number. 2)Incomplete (missing contact information, missing alpha on the serial number - HX, RX, GX, PO Box addresses). 3)IIIegible rebate submission. 4)Two Gift Card requests have already been submitted for your household address. 5)Rebate form was received after 07/22/2008 deadline

Looking4Deals said: The $15.00 rebate card will also need to be activated. It will cost another $3.95. So, the net profit will be $3.15Is that a new provision? On two previous AMEX promotions I received rebate cards that were usable for full face value without any additional fees (though limited to use at some specified retailers).
The minimal AE GC service fee is $3.95x2=$7.90. The profit would only be $7.10 minus postage, plus your time wasted.
Sorry if repost.
Wrong. How can they send you a $15.00 card and then charge you to activate it. Where do they expect you to pay? cmon, think about it. You wouldnt just walk into a cvs store and give them money and hand the card to them and say" activate this please". Dont work like that. The $15 card is free and no fee is applied.
And as far as ANightShopper goes, there is always more to the story than one lets on. Most like he/she got busted trying to do more than allowed or he/she didnt follow the procedure correctly.
PS: and Im sure he/she will post a denial of any wrong doing and/or curse me.

Yes, the Spring Fling card was already activated. It was a $25 card that could only be used at Best Buy, Fandango, Borders (?), and some spa site. This time it's a $15 card that can be used anywhere. I believe it will be pre-activated when you receive it. In a nutshell, this is a way to make $7 with some hassle.
I used 4 seperate addresses and got A total of 7 gift cards back eventually. It was A bit of work though still worth it for me. By the way I purchased the AMEX cards with cash .I think that may have made A difference.

I would surely post my street address but judging by your posts Id have to assume that English is not your first langauge or you are not very well educated in which case neither of those options makes me feel confident that you would be able to post the correct address. Move along now.
I got that denial letter for one of my rebates too. I got 1 fine and my brother got his 2 fine. I know I did it correctly, as I filled them all out at the same time and mailed them on the same date. I forgot about the letter and left it too long to fight it though.
They didn't have any rebate forms at my store today either. She didn't know about any forms and couldn't tell me if something would print out or not. I didn't want to risk the money without a form.

Has anyone been successful in finding the mail in rebate? I emailed CVS and if I get a reply, I'll let you know.
The best way I found to do this during the Spring Fling deal is to try to combine purchases with a 5 off 40 or 4 off 20 coupons. Hopefully CVS will let a few of those slip out during this promotion. I was able to get 6 $25 spring fling cards paying nothing extra for a true $150 gain. I took all 6 across the street to BestBuy and bought a single $150 BestBuy GC using all six at once. Very good deal.

Just got off the phone with CVS.com Customer Service. They have the MIR and are mailing one to me. You can call them 1-800-746-7287 and it is option #3. Said I should get mine within 5-7 days.

The Dominicks ad for the week starting 10/16/08 features the same offer. (Dominicks is the Safeway-owned chain in the midwest.) I couldn't find any rebate forms at Dominicks for the Spring Fling offer, will check again for this one.
CVS charges $6.95 activation for each card, so if 2 cards are required, it's kinda a wash. Anyone know if Chase or Bank of America or Compass Bank have zero fee gift cards?

Are you sure you were looking at the $25 cards? And that you were looking at the regular cards, not the special for weddings/birthdays/movie-lovers/teens/babies/puppies/senior-citizens cards?

For the $25.00 card, the activation fee at CVS is $3.95. So you basically are paying $8.00 to get back $15.00. That's a good deal, in my opinion.

I did the Spring Flight deal and purchased it a month past the required purchase date (by accident)... I was somehow fortunate to be overlooked because I still received my gift card!

I bought 2 cards, but on receipt or in circular there is no info on mail-in rebate form. Can someone please post link?

I was looking at the $200 gift cards and when checking out the cashier confirmed for those cards it was $6.95 fee. I didn't check the other cards.
Also, I didn't see any rebate forms or instructions at the display, so don't know details of rebate. Not worth it for me.

Just received the rebate from CVS in the mail. Pretty generic mir.
That's very much offending what all you did. Too bad this web site allow it, while the owners nas PMed me saying that their forums were viewed by a wide variety of people, including youth and others potentially offended people and as such the posted messages supose to be with due respect and sensitivity to all potential viewers.
That's not my fault rather than engaging with their gift card business that AMEX has created all those troubles; however, today their spring card has come from out of blue and I could thanks all and even those of you who has my sping card stolen due to the luck of the basic security at AMEX rebate processing.
