Amazon.com currently has the FURminator deShedding Tool in all three sizes on sale. The small is $19.19 (regular price is $34.95), the medium is $25.44 (regular price is $49.95), and the large is $29.30 (regular price is $59.95). As usual, you can receive free shipping via Prime or if your order is a minimum of $25.
Product Description Designed to reduce shedding better than any brush, comb, or rake, this innovative tool works effectively for all shedding breeds of dogs and cats, both long- and short-haired. It addresses the issue of the undercoat, which can become a dense mess of loose, dead hair and the major source of shedding, and the allergies and cleanliness problems that come with it. The revolutionary grooming device utilizes a unique 4-inch stainless-steel edge that grabs loose undercoat hair and quickly and easily removes it, without damaging the topcoat. It actually brings out the pet's natural oils, leaving a shiny and healthy topcoat. The pet will enjoy the feeling the de-shedding tool provides, and caretakers will appreciate the results. Used by veterinarians and recommended by doctors for people who have allergies, the tool is proven to decrease shedding by 60 to 80 percent for about four to six weeks. The patented de-shedding tool features a comfortable, ergonomic grip handle and measures 6 by 1 by 4-1/8 inches.
Reviews and Personal Experience This product is rated 4.5 out of 5 stars on Amazon by 1,722 customers, so I'd say that shows how great of a product it is. My sister has a dog (chihuahua), and she has the medium tool and it works great for the dog (the small tool would have sufficed). I volunteer at a rabbit rescue (SaveABunny.org) and at a shelter and we use these for rabbits of various breeds without any problems.
Enjoy! Victor Ly

Funny how this deal shows up. I was just at my Pet Smart last week and they have them for $34.99 but I came home and got it on Amazon for this price last week. Great little device. My shih tzu doesn't mind being brushed with it at all.

Agreed - this rake is awesome at getting at the undercoat only and as a bonus my Golden loves it too!
it works great on my dogs... I use it every few days and get a pile of fur.

holy $hit this is a good deal, even though the materials and construction are only like $5 but this tool does work! To bad I paid $49.99 for mine last month
I have a small one for my 3 long haired cats, and it works great.
Just a little story...once upon a time, I was very negligent about brushing my cats. On the rare occasions that I'd do it, I used the Zoom Groom, which the kitties liked but it didn't remove much excess fur. Fast forward to this past summer, and one of my cats got EXTREMELY ill. After 3 vet visits, 2 sets of blood work, 3 days with an IV, 3 x-rays of the stomach, and 1 ultrasound later, he had to have exploratory surgery on his abdomen. The vet found several huge hairballs, the largest of which was larger and wider than a empty toilet paper roll. The hairballs were blocking his stomach, and would have killed him within a matter of days.
Oh, and that experience cost me slightly over $1900. The Furminator would have been a heck of a lot less expensive, lol. The vet told me to either buy (and use) this brush, or consider giving the cat a buzz cut every month.

$1900 to diagnose a hairball means you need a brush AND a new Vet!
I bought the brush this year and find it no better than the ones with a single row of peg-like teeth to groom a long haired dog.
Not to discredit or bash this product, but it doesn't work on our dogs (2 dobermans and a puggle). I'm sure it would work great on fluffy/furry dogs/cats, but our dogs have coarse/short hair and it doesn't really do anything.
