Funny how this deal shows up. I was just at my Pet Smart last week and they have them for $34.99 but I came home and got it on Amazon for this price last week. Great little device. My shih tzu doesn't mind being brushed with it at all.

I have a small one for my 3 long haired cats, and it works great.
Just a little story...once upon a time, I was very negligent about brushing my cats. On the rare occasions that I'd do it, I used the Zoom Groom, which the kitties liked but it didn't remove much excess fur. Fast forward to this past summer, and one of my cats got EXTREMELY ill. After 3 vet visits, 2 sets of blood work, 3 days with an IV, 3 x-rays of the stomach, and 1 ultrasound later, he had to have exploratory surgery on his abdomen. The vet found several huge hairballs, the largest of which was larger and wider than a empty toilet paper roll. The hairballs were blocking his stomach, and would have killed him within a matter of days.
Oh, and that experience cost me slightly over $1900. The Furminator would have been a heck of a lot less expensive, lol. The vet told me to either buy (and use) this brush, or consider giving the cat a buzz cut every month.

$1900 to diagnose a hairball means you need a brush AND a new Vet!
I bought the brush this year and find it no better than the ones with a single row of peg-like teeth to groom a long haired dog.
Not to discredit or bash this product, but it doesn't work on our dogs (2 dobermans and a puggle). I'm sure it would work great on fluffy/furry dogs/cats, but our dogs have coarse/short hair and it doesn't really do anything.
