Just saw this on PCConnection, the Olympus Evolt E-510 with the lens kit for $399. I checked Amazon for comparison and it's around $500, so this looks like a decent deal.
I have this camera. Bought it when it came out for about 1k yeah- there are a lot of canon/nikon fanboys that bash Olympus, but zuiko lenses are some of the best and you can't beet in-camera image stabilization (so it works on any lens). This is an old model, replaced by the 520, but a wonderful deal. If you want to see some real-world work using this camera, check out my website http://www.nyfalls.com Any of the waterfall or lake galleries in the last year and a half were taken with the 510 More recently this niagara falls work was done with it- http://www.nyfalls.com/niagara/niagara-main.html I think it turned out great- would buy it again in a heartbeat

I have this camera...very pleased...yes, the lens choices are limited but great way to get into the "entry level-DSLR" arena.
